New deal £150m release clause, which is reduced by £1m for every goal he scores next season. Make him work for his love if he wants our.

Not the worst idea I've ever heard, that.

Starting to wonder if Howe is sort of using the media to force the club to get rid of him.

That's not how I see it. "I want players who really want to play for this club".

That's a great slap in the face to Isak.

he could tell him that face to face if we want to get maximum value for the player. Instead, we are starting to look like there is no way back for him.

For me, there was always something off about Isak, seemed to have an arrogance towards being above our club. He was happy enough to be here, but had higher aspirations, which is fine, but his conduct is completely unacceptable.

I wonder if Howe is prepared to let Isak go but the Saudis are refusing. If so I back the club all the way on this.

that's what I've been wondering. That he is in a standoff with the ownership over this.

Or he has accepted their decision, but is slapping Isak in the face through the media.

Remember he said this yesterday:

“I want Alex to be playing today. I want him training tomorrow. We would love the player to be with us — let me make that absolutely clear. There is no part of me that does not want that outcome — but I don’t see the current situation changing before Aston Villa.”

It's horrible [emoji38]

Imagine cheering every goal someone scored because they wanted to be away for cheaper.

It's bonkers, but it would definitely work on getting a tune out of him.

I'm completely devoid of emotion for this player now. I just want to have his goals for one more season whilst also spiting him and Liverpool FC this summer.

Seems to forget the big risk we took on him in the first place after a very poor season. He was nowhere near the striker he is now before Howe got his hands on him. He also needs to be thankful for the players he has behind him who allowed him to become the main focus of our attack, creating the chances in the first place. He also can’t forget the fact that he is an utter cunt.

Said recently when this all kicked off that I never got the feeling he connected with the club in the way the likes of Bruno and Sandro clearly have. Seemed to me that for Isak it was only another step in his career.

Think it’s as simple as Howe has told him he wants him part of the squad and NUFC.

isak doesn’t want to play for NUFC right now and has elected to pull himself out of Asia trip and the sela cup.

isak won’t be training with the team unless he’s commited to NUFC.

isak won’t be training with the team until he’s also accepted by the team and group.

board have either told him or his agent he is not for sale - particularly for he and his team’s antics.

Howe doesn't want Isak gone, he wants him to want to play for us and until he does  he has to sit out, it's simple. He's been told unequivocally that he's going nowhere and he'll have to eat humble pie at some point.
