Still can't let him go.  Sets a dangerous precedent for other players agitating for a move.

Doesn't really impact PSR too much as he won't be paid wages and his remaining book value either gets amortised now or when he is eventually sold.

Only risk on leaving him in the reserves for a year is his value reducing.  But accepting a lowball offer now and opening us up to this game in the future, on the weight of things, seems to be an even riskier option in my opinion.

I know, I've always been hopeful we would make him stay unless it was on our terms.... Just finally getting to the point where I don't see any return for him.

That’s what the media (Liverpool/cartel mouthpiece rags) want you to think. These headlines never have direct quotes. Funny that!

Have to say Isak is obviously dumb as shit. Liverpool have put in one undervalued bid and then stopped pushing. I’m sure they’re in his ear blaming it on us for not being reasonable, but use your fucking head man. They’re expecting Isak to apply all the pressure.

Suing him, stopping his wages or just outright refusing to play him isn't the answer. The optics from the outside will be terrible, we will struggle to sign some players if we go on like that. We'll also be burning bridges with agents which is exactly the opposite of what we need to be doing right now.

Our only saviour is a shit hot CEO or DoF who comes in and unmuddles the situation or has the contacts to initiate a proper negotiation with an elite foreign club who can take Isak on some sort of structured deal over the course of a few years.

This is currently heading down a blind alley with both clubs waiting for the other to blink first. We cannot have him here after the window closes if he is outright refusing to play for us, and Liverpool know that.
