Don’t like the hinting toward a likelihood of selling Isak and going until January with Wissa and Gordon as strikers, like. Downie said that recently apparently and now Hope in that article.

That would be absolutely unacceptable and whoever is responsible if they go ahead with that madness needs sacking.

Absolutely this. Would ensure we also vastly overpay by the time we find a suitable replacement too. For me, Isak stays unless we somehow manage to still bring in two strikers and someone other than that cunt of a club offer us the 150m we need to allow him to go.

How can you not absolutely love him.

I feel bad for thinking he might be done last season. The bloke has character in spades. He's the antidote to the chancers of the Ashley era that thought they could bluff it.

Realise the last club and set of fans to see it this way is Liverpool but its best for football that Isak doesn't get away with this otherwise players are going to go 'on strike' and behaving like wankers to get moves they've been tapped up for whenever they feel like it and the selling club has to take a lower offer. That whole scenario is outrageous

I wonder what bits they’ve left out. I mean, Eddie speaks a lot of sense, but I’m fairly sure he would have caveated all that with saying that no situation is beyond repair.

There’s a write up on the Beeb site. He definitely hasn’t closed the door on an Isak return.

the manage without him stuff, he’s talking about the next few games.

Yeah look in the Eddie Howe thread for the full article.

I said earlier in the thread that Isak needs to sack his agent if he doesn’t get his move. I’ll change that to he should sack his agent regardless; he’s trashed his reputation, there’ll be a reputation that will endure.

Fwiw, I think we should keep him for another year then set the fucker on fire and sell as damaged goods for 120M + add ons to whoever wants him.

I mean I get why he might be miffed about the lack of a new contract and I get why he’d want to move to Liverpool. But to disrespect the manager who’s brought him on and all the fans, it’s completely ridiculous. I can see how damaging it is for the dressing room as some would just want to get hold of him and which is why I think he will eventually go.
