Optimistic Nut
Public apology, "I had my head turned, I wanted to move but I was wrong to go about it the way I did. I respect the club's stance and I'm fully committed to play for Newcastle United". He can still turn it around.
OverThere
When Oshimen went out on loan what was the fee? Maybe we loan the snake overseas perhaps even with purchase clause if certain criteria are met. Edited August 16, 2025 by OverThere
Yorkie
Just now, Optimistic Nut said: Public apology, "I had my head turned, I wanted to move but I was wrong to go about it the way I did. You really don't have to do much at all to settle the fans down. He could come out and be utterly hostile... as long as he scores, he'd get away with it. The problem is convincing his teammates imo. NSG
He’s surely played his last game for us. Its now about selling him to the right club for the right fee.

relámpago blanco
There is definitely a way back for him but if things do change I think Eddie will let the players decide.
Wolfcastle
Be a bit like the Owen relationship if he stays, the relationship is broken, both parties know it, and the surly tw@t cups his ears when he scores, you take the goals but its a bit like half expecting VAR to get involved so not fully into it

Full on Figo the c*nt. Minus the pig. That being said I hope he's sold somewhere abroad and we never have to clap eyes on him again and or he's never fit for more than a couple games at a time again. Kid Icarus
Honestly the whole reintegration thing is uncharted territory for us at this level. We had Cabaye but nothing this high profile or to this extent. If it had never happened at other clubs before I'd take the point that there's no way back for him, but it has, multiple times, with success. Football fans are fickle, plenty will never forgive him and rightly so, but there's plenty of room inbetween forgiveness and being unforgiving. There's redemption, atonement, salvaging part of his reputation. It'll never be the same, but personally from a fan's perspective I'd like to be able to re-watch our matches and enjoy all of them rather than have to think about all this crap every time he features. HaydnNUFC
Perfectly worded. I don’t want us to cave because of the message it sends as I’ve posted before. But what a fucking cunt.
Ketsbaia
No idea what to think, after today. It feels like there's no way back for Isak with away fans, players and staff - truly united. But, at the same time, there has to be a way back because Liverpool won't match the price. And even if they would, letting Isak win sets a bad, bad precedent. Besides, maybe Liverpool might now be turned off by his despicable behaviour. YNWA, 'morals' and all that shite.
wfmk2
If he fires his agent, does a grovelling apology to his team mates, does a preseason that he missed, then he’s a useful commodity in my book. Then fuck him off to Europe at the earliest available opportunity for max price and wait for karma to knack his ACL.

Turnbull2000
Isak's message to the likes of Bruno, Burn, Trippier etc that all made last season so special is 'I'm better than you and don't want to be around you'. Never mind the fuck you to Howe and the fans. Can't see how he comes back from that. That he has a toxic personality is a good match for Liverpool tbh. TRC
I don’t feel letting him go sets a precedent, the level of players that would actually do this is incredibly low. I think the rest of the team are way to professional and probably don’t even want him back anyway.
Guybrush
Overheard some away fans today wishing for his death, so... that's not on. There's a chance of a way back, but it would have to be miraculous.
Zero
No Liverpool. I can accept no replacement, not 150m, but 100% no Liverpool. You simply can’t let Isak win.

Even if they do it in a more professional way, we are toast when they come for Livramento, Bruno, Tonali etc.

No one is coming in for Bruno now, his chance to go to a bigger club was last summer when we had PSR issues, and he had a release clause, no one stumped up the money. At the age of 28 in November, the big clubs in Europe are not going for him. He might get a move to Turkey or Saudi Arabia in a couple of years when he’s on the decline, but by that point we’d be looking to replace him in anyway. He did a documentary for Sky recently, and it’s clear that eventually he wants to go back to play in Brazil at some point. There maybe a club or two between now and then, but his next move is not an upwards move.
