Martin Hardy stating that "the club have been approached for comment", so it was obviously written before the club statement. I think that's one reason the statement had to be made. It seems football is moving to a whole new level of competition, its not just a challenge on the pitch, its financial, its in the courts, its sponsorship, ownership and now running campaigns to destabilise other clubs players.
