FloydianMag
The club should issue a formal short statement that Isak is not for sale
Geordie Magpie
Hand a transfer request in if you want the move that bad you greedy bastard! If you were that arsed about the broken promises you'd hand in a transfer request and say what promises were broken and who by!
Matt1892
While the window is open he won’t back down, if the meeting took place this time next week then it would likely be a different story.

I was hoping that there would be reports of a slightly more reconcilatory stance, but he's doubled down. Now everyone hates him even more, and this plays more into Liverpool's hands. ponsaelius
He's not going to change stance at all until the deadline passes. Until then the dynamics don't change. He's already gone in for a penny so might as well go in for a pound.

Something actually needs done/said about this. Wont be of course because its Liverpool/cartel. But we cant even have this if we benefitted from it. A player striking but also doing so to reduce his transfer fee, in a PSR environment!? It stinks to high-heaven objectively. Lish007
I think its best to sell him... if he hands in a transfer request. There should be no loyalty bonus here. And Liverpool supporters.. as we know you lurk - he will definitely do it to you one day.
Kid Icarus
It really worries me that this steadfast approach from Isak and Liverpool is based on something they know that no one else does mind. We've not come this far in the window and come this far as Newcastle supporters to not expect the worst. Him calling their bluff must be based on some form of confidence that we absolutely won't just let his value depreciate by keeping him in the reserves. LionOfGosforth
I never ever thought there'd come a day, when I ended up absolutely loathing one of our own players, who has been brilliant for us, with every fibre of my being. It's incredibly unsettling.
Super Duper Branko Strupar
If Liverpool tell him a move is impossible? How do they work out that it's up to them, like? And why is he talking to them?

Kid Icarus
Remember though everyone, the same Ben Jacobs that's now saying Isak's stance might change if Liverpool tell him the deal is impossible, is the same Ben Jacobs that's just said that Liverpool have stayed silent. That's just their way of painting it as "Newcastle priced him out of his dream move" rather than "Liverpool don't rate him highly enough to put the money down" - and that's exactly what Isak himself has fallen for/taken as his stance aswell, the prick
TRon
Isak has basically said he'll play for us again if Liverpool won't do the deal. So just double down and tell them to go fuck themselves.

I'm starting to get the feeling more and more he is just very annoyed with us. Could be that he told management last summer after the broken "promise" that he wanted to leave and then dragged his feet the first games. Then they told him to man up and just play the season out and he'd get to leave, 12 months later, and lots of rejections. Here we are..

Kilcline
Exactly, if the scousers know the price and aren't going to go to it, and that we won't sell without 2 in the door, it's game over already
