Just been on TalkShite - 'newcastle's owners are willing to sell Isak, but Liverpool are not willing to go to 130 million'

Which inevitably they will if we’ve said we’re prepared to deal - they’re going to low ball us.  I would if I was them, too.

I think plenty on this forum, including myself, have gave the club the benefit of the doubt as they’ve saved face with some of the activity over the last few weeks, having had an embarrassing summer prior. And it was embarrassing, but having no DOF obviously doesn’t help.

For me, the jury is still out on the window tbh.

I cannot stress enough - selling him for considerably lower than his value, after he’s been an utter cunt and actually cost us points (which = £££ come May), then they can all get in the fucking sea tbh. Been proper bullied into submission by the big lad in the playground if we do. Pathetic.

If you take the Woltemade signing as the Isak replacement, which it clearly is, we've had all summer to get a Wilson replacement and failed which is ridiculous. Should've had that tied up as soon as the window opened.

That's true, but in fairness we had a lot of things to address and it's the only thing that hasn't been addressed. We didn't always get who we wanted but we've got players in at GK, CB, CM, RW that we've known we've needed and also got rid of the deadwood

The multiple fumbles and no Wilson replacement overshadow that somewhat but I'd find it easy to look on the bright side. The Isak saga nukes everything if we capitulate though.

£120m? We'd have surely got more when Liverpool tried to start negotiations at £110m the other week? [emoji38]

The whole statement about 'conditions need to be met' is going to look really daft if we somehow sell him at a price less than what we were seemingly asking for if we had two replacements in, never mind just the one.

I find it unconscionable that on deadline day we've apparently agreed to 'do business'

I'd like to think we've enough faith in the professionalism of our owners not to treat the club like Ashley-era NUFC

To be fair, his real value is what someone will pay. If you think he is more valuable to you than selling then don't.

The club are in a shit position mind. Keep him? What’s the point? He doesn’t want to play and is a shadow hanging around the place. Leaves us with little option to sell. The whole wanting to go thing came out after other clubs with the capability of signing him had already made their moves.

Little choice but to sell, but Liverpool are the only buyers. Last day to sell him as well.

The issue is not bringing in another striker. No excuse for that having not been done already.

Caving on deadline day and not getting another striker totally shits on the good business we've done away from this rancid saga from a monumental height.
