thomas
Every misstep that led up to this can be rectified with changes to contractual/signing processes that all parties will agree to. I don't see it as enabling some parade of dickheads to do the same thing or it burying our reputation in the mud. one off fuckup; a colossal one, but correctable. Exactly - they’ve lost all integrity now. Next summer - random clubs bids for Tonali. Newcastle say “not for sale… blah blah blah”. Aye whatever, we have no backbone and buying clubs know in time we’ll just fold. Embrassing by our owners regardless of what happens tomorrow. Kid Icarus
3 minutes ago, Heron said: Isak has forced the clubs hand somewhat here. It's a sad indictment that footballers have too much power in the game. A depreciating asset that holds all the cards. I personally do not believe we have done this with any great ease and suspect that from both a footballing and financial point of view this decision has been made. Bad apple ousted and pockets lined. Attempt to calm the storm with a signing or two tomorrow and then let positivity reign. That's all we can do. There's nothing to suggest we have done otherwise under this management to date. It fucks me off. Don't get me wrong. I just think there are positives to take and we NEED to take them. I just don't buy this at all. Now or in 12 months time Isak is still one of the best strikers around. Brentford and Wolves understand the value in standing firm, we've folded despite having an incredibly strong hand. This is a major turning point with PIF.

If the window closes and we’re still clutching the Isak cash I’ll be unimpressed. Absolutely. Was thinking earlier in the week Woltermade, another striker and another midfielder for Isak would be quite titilating. More so that simply adding Wissa and praying Isak would play again. LiquidAK
Love people pretending like the club had no choice here. There was a clear choice to say get fucked Alex you little rat, you'll sit on your arse for a year, we'll still fetch £90m plus for you next summer and send a message to the footballing world that you can't kick off and get everything you want. We've not done that because we're weak as fuck

Dan Gleebals
Wow, some of these comments. The fucker has made it quite clear he wants to leave and has fucked us over. Any other result than sell, was not going to work. He has to go. Refusing to sell had no good outcome for us. We could hardly have him here stinking out the place. After 190m spent already, and possibly more tomorrow, we need a big sale whatever way you look at it. Time to move on and focus on the season, and not bash the club. Makes us look stupid, IMHO. All of the stupidity of the move is bad enough, but my pride will never be able to take it. The owners letting the club be disrespected and then disrespecting it themselves is unforgiveable in my eyes. I think you’re being really over dramatic, personally, but I get that it’s an emotional subject.

Many of us have said from the beginning that we shouldn't allow ourselves to be bullied by the cunts at all. There has been saying that, but the majority have not said that. Aa per people just want something to fucking moan about. Hopefully this means we can spend the next 3 years having solid transfer windows, maybe it means that we can offer the likes of Tonali, and Livramento better deals for when Man City come knocking and Liverpool are paying Romano and African bots to pressure us into selling again. Who specifically, or how far along it is I don’t know. All I’m saying is, for me, there’s every chance we sign a good player tomorrow and if that happens, I still think it’s been a very good window, slightly soured by Isak being a bellend. I’m certainly not in the “owners have bended over” camp. I’m in the “owners and Eddie are doing what they believe is right for NUFC” camp, because that’s what they’ve shown us so far. Cheers I would want more than a striker now we have cashed in i guess funds will now be here in Jan should the team need it. I think unfortunately both can be true owners have buckled but still feel it's due to the player not liverpool. The money hasn't been the big golden carrot too good to turn down. Its the players behavior and whatever he said or promised/threatened to do has made the club rethink. Would have wanted more but what isak has done has been extreme. Have him potentially disrupt the team even more than he has? I despise the cunt and would’ve loved to see him rot, but I can understand why they’ve done it. I can see it from a footballing perspective tbh - just get the rotten apple out and use the money to get players who want to be here in.
Ed Vinegar
It's all about tomorrow now. We've simply got to get a striker. If we wait til January we'll fuck the season and the following few. Right now I'm in the "we've fucked up and next summer we're going to get picked to the bone Dortmund style" - but I am also leaving the door ajar for them to have another cracking signing or two up their sleeve that can rescue this. My main copium being that all of our major moves (Tonali, Woltemade, Isak) have had zero media buzz until the deal was virtually done. But for now... Alexa play Hurt by Nine Inch Nails.
