Now that I have calmed down and listened to some observations about the move, I am at 'fuck it' let's move on. Wolves are going to get a fucking hammering at home, we have 2 strikers who can't wait to play for us, the rest of the squad and Eddie no longer have a dark cloud hanging over the place and the stadium will be rocking.

As for the rat...there was no way on earth that he could reintegrate after all the events and there was no way we could let him rot for the rest of the season and the drama would have carried on each week and ultimately cause more damage.

So the club got what they deemed was the best value considering above and apparently he left some loyalty bonuses on the table. His behavior was atrocious and he will always be known for THAT no matter how many goals he scores or trophies won. He will only be loved in Liverpool.

There's a lot of behind the scenes info which we're not privy to. I trust Eddie's judgement wholeheartedly.

Let's face it, had he stayed we would have delayed his inevitable exit next summer anyways. Would it have been worth the energy and media circus for 12 months of football? Especially when you suspect he was already mentally checked out backend of last season, so probably would have half arsed this season for us, whilst still being a toxic cunt and disrupting the dressing room.

We've got a massive fee for him which should help us going forward, and I think Eddie and the team will be massively relieved that this whole saga has ended and our season can now properly begin. Excited to see what Woltemade and Wissa can do for the team.

Paddypower are normally better than that

No they’re not. Their core demographic is supporters of each of the Breakaway Bandits laughing at which other Cartel member (usually Man Utd) are doing shit. That’s 99% of their content.

 How so? They're the most banterrific betting company going.

Probably just sums up why people shouldn't pay attention to such shite.

I'm still not happy at what's happened but them and 'neutrals' that want to put the boot in are the last people we should give a shit about.

Just imagine us stopping the deal just before it’s signed. Would love it.

That's not how these deals work I imagine. Once you agree a fee and everything reaches medical stages I don't think the selling club can just pull the plug. Or else you would see loads of clubs intentionally screwing eachother over at the last second with stuff like that.

Think loans are different which is why Chelsea could put the brakes on the Jackson deal a few days ago etc.

I mean I don't see it ever happening but imagine if we just wound them up and didn't complete the deal in time and Isak had to take his Liverpool shirt off and get the Megabus back to central station

It’s what I would have done to be honest. I would also have tried to get Elliot off then, got that signed off, then fucked then off.

You can. A deal sheet is just an intention to sell document.

It’s no different to when you get buy a car and the dealer handing you over a sheet to say what the final deal package is.

Same with a house until exchange, even after exchange you can pull out but you forfeit a fuckload of money.

leaves ourselves open to calls of hypocrisy

When Wissa made his statement yesterday, pretty much everyone on here called him a p***k and said they hoped we didn't buy him, but now we have, so we deal with it and move on. We don't like it but it's the way it is now.

At least we as a fan base have issues with Wissa's mercenary behaviour. I haven't seen Liverpool fans taking any issue with Isak.

Also, if the Trent situation had happened at Newcastle, there's no way he'd get booed imo. A homegrown lad, who gives you many brilliant years and sees out his contract like a pro, treats the club with honesty and respect, gives them plenty of notice about what his plans are. He'd leave with nothing but good wishes from the Newcastle fans imo. The level of entitlement with Liverpool fans is off the charts.
