Whenever I hear/see his name I immediately think 'cunt'. I don't hate him as that would affect me more than it would him, but he has acted in the worst possible way and I suspect I'll take that reaction to the grave.

Same happens with me and Michael McIntyre

It started off well, and unless i've missed something, then went off at a tangent - as in not showing that same stats for all of the players - one showing shots, other showing dribbling - complete mess.

Just thought i put 'pen to paper' and have my two cents worth.

Whilst all last season i thought it was good that Isak was scoring, i always felt that he could with having a good feed, as thought he's not fully grown, gangly is the word, and i think last season was a 'one off' - just being in the right place at the right time.

We'll never know what would have happened this season - but i think we've got away with selling him at a great price - and think that both him and wirtz will turn out to be lame ducks.

I can see him now being one of those 'almost' players that liverpool and the like purchase - because he doesn't fit into the system that they are playing.

I was always worried about his physical attributes, particularly stamina. Don't think there's ever been another Howe player who was just as weak when he left as when he arrived, and couldn't be effective after 55 minutes.

Would like to know how many goals he scored for us from 60 minutes and out.

Did you ever mention it before? (just asking). I got pelters for saying it or that Bruno looked slow before he joined and now people ride those observations into OTT narratives imo.

I think he did get better with the stamina in his time here but it was still a weakness when he left.

He went from 55 minutes of Howe ball, to about 70/75 minutes.

Not to go all HTT here but it is a bit funny that a lad of East African heritage, with a distance runner physique (for a footballer at least), has such bad stamina.

PSG Away... I don't think he broke into a jog after 55 minutes. He barely moved after an hour. Was begging Howe to take him off. Offered absolutely nothing. Better to have had Krafthu uptop.

I think his biggest weakness is that he's very one-footed. At his best he can shift the ball seamlessly but it's not always possible and shifting it so smoothely requires a lot of confidence. I've not seen him score a goal like Kane did against us in the 6-1 at SJP. "You think I won't place this perfectly with my left? Here you go. Prick."

I'm not so sure. How much money does he need? Surely if you're getting £125k a week then you go to £250k you can't suddenly think oh I can get that dream car I always wanted or that big posh house, or we can shoot off to the Carribean next summer. Everything he wanted was already comfortably in his reach. He wanted for nothing financially. And his next contract here had he wanted to stay would have pretty much doubled what he was on.

I could understand him wanting to move for sporting reasons more. Liverpool are a bigger club. They are serial trophy winners. He has more chance of realising his sporting dreams with them than he has us. That's just the reality. I've no problem with that and for those reasons I would have had no problem at all with him declaring his interest in speaking to them when their interest became apparent. Players move from club to club. That's football.

The issue was the way he went about it. We gave him his back chance in England on the back of a pretty poor season at Sociedad when let's face it we hardly had any competition for his signature. We gave him the platform and gave him everything he needed to be arguably the most sought after striker in World football and look at how he repaid us. Went on strike and bad mouthed the bloke that gave him everything. Basically called him a liar just to try to justify his own disgusting actions.

He's clearly a cunt of a human being, that much is evident. Makes it even more sweeter that him and his new team look absolutely shite since he signed for them whilst his replacement is banging them in, looks absolute quality and a top bloke as well. Hopefully once Wissa is fit he hits the ground running like big Nick has whilst the rat continues to flounder. That's the perfect scenario now.

Great comment, I totally agree with you. O0

He needs very different profile of 10 and wingers to get the best out of him. If Isak has space but so does Gakpo, Wirtz, Salah or Ekitke they will shoot the ball before playing Alex the ball. When he was here, he was getting that ball 9/10x. Unless those players are moved on or their shot creation instincts change, I find it very difficult to see it being as easy as it was here for him.

I really think the *how much money does X player need?* statement is missing the point of why players push for massive figures. It's a statement on their standing within the game/club. You're right, at some point it makes little difference to their day-to-day life, but Isak clearly wants to push to be the "best", which he decided was best served by going to Liverpool, who will pay him a huge numbers, and challenge in every competition they're in. Also, fwiw, the game itself is generating massive massive numbers, so I have absolutely no issue with players getting their slice of the pie.

Obviously he's a cunt due to the way he went about it, and from my highly unbiased perspective, you become a much greater star by being part of a project like ours (should we actually manage to get ourselves into a similar spot to Liverpool et al.), but it's obviously riskier and takes longer.

I think he was possibly better the season before to be honest, was a bit patchy last season but still good.  I think he will do fine in the longer term so not going to gloat too much about his slowish start.

Before this season, as a German, I hadn't followed the PL very closely. As a Woltemade fan, I discovered my love for Toon.

Since I also think Wirtz is a brilliant player, I watched all of Liverpool's games this season. I'd like to share my impressions of both teams with you.

The biggest difference I see is that his teammates immediately integrated Big Nick. They valued him as a person and a player and immediately incorporated him into their game. No sign of jealousy or envy. At Liverpool, on the other hand, I had the impression that Wirtz's teammates somewhat ignored him. He gets passed to far too rarely; if they have a choice between Wirtz and another player, the other player is almost always passed to. I noticed this especially with the three Dutch players.

It seems to me that they were jealous and envious because of the hype surrounding him and the high transfer fee. As I said, that's my impression. Now, Wirtz is, of course, a rather quiet player and not as extroverted as Woltemade. Wirtz's teammates didn't give him as great a debut as Wolte's here.

So I was able to compare the two clubs well, because I hadn't followed them that closely before. And then I fell in love with Newcastle United.

Great team spirit, one for all, all for one. And you fans are amazing, that's why I'm here now.

Therefore, I think that if the player is only interested in having fun playing football, Toon should always be the first choice.

I wouldn't call it a great price, I wanted £150m for a striker with his proven record in the PL. But with him being a bit fragile, it was always in the back of my mind that a year down the line he could get injured and we might never get the chance to get big money again. In that sense, I could understand us agreeing the sale in the end. At least this way we get properly compensated and have been able to use the cash to buy two replacements.

On here or with your imaginary friends? Weirdly you didn’t mention it at all in Bruno’s thread. Odd.
