As in they'll still want him might but refuse to pay Liverpool a substantial fee. Just let it be known that if he kicks up a fuss to engineer a free/cheap move there is a massive signing on fee and wage there for him, while if they have to pay a fee to Liverpool both of these will be significantly reduced. Essentially saying there is X amount to sign you, that can mainly go to you if you kick off and force a move or you can get 20% and Liverpool the rest via a transfer fee.
