I've always liked him - met him and had a nice chat last year, but he's driven me insane in the last couple of days. Just wish he would dial down the excitement and read the room on this one.

Actually, I’ll dial back on that. I’m sure he’s a nice guy I find his online presence and constantly looking for doom unlikable

Think I've just about come to terms with the fact the squad as a whole could and should be stronger with the money that it'd be without it.

That's about the only positivity I can muster with this whole situation.

Calm down, it’s nothing, compare with the years under Ashley, or even the Souness era.

It’s not the end of the world, who knows, might be Neale will be a superstar given the chance, might be Osula will bang in 20 goals a season. There’s still a lot of things the club can do, and we dont have any real financial concerns.

If really feel that frustrated, just switch off everything re football, take an holiday and go for a cruise trip with family.

How am I supposed to trust the word of a man who can't get a simple fact right?

Isak is 25.

Aye, but he's nearly 26, which is basically 27 when you think about it.  I'm sure that's what i read on the Wissa thread

We’ve got nobody we can trust to spend the money.

Our business has been unimaginative and slow.

That's encouraging news about the Chairman imo. Not going to debate with anyone about the absent-landlord-ism; if he's getting involved with a view to us finding a solution, it's a good thing. Hopefully we get there, even at the expense of other signings - further demonstrating the lunacy of the rules.

At least we'll get to find out whether Yasir really is the hardline negotiator some of our fans say he is

I don’t think Yasir will budge.

We give Isak some money and a release clause. We get to posture. And then we don’t strengthen the squad adequately,  finish 8th, sell Isak next summer

Away to mighty bottom of the league Sheffield utd, and away to brentford in the cup for me.

I'll always remember Oxford in the cup at SJP.  0-0, awful football and the bonus of it being about 3am here.

Hot take! The chairman should already be in control given there's no CEO or Sporting Director!

That is definitely a good news. I mean, if they really decide to sell Isak, likely they won’t put out Yasirs name and will just say the management has collectively made the decision.

Isak won’t be allowed to go this summer.

Agree, his own reputation is at stake. He won’t budge.

Other clubs who've had to do similar things have generally kicked on after receiving mega money for their star, seemingly irreplaceable, player. we've generally recruited well, so have to do it again.

We need to realise that it is inevitable that one or more of our galacticos will move on from time to time. Things evolve.

Not really his role, but he and the board should have been appointing some form of interim until Eales successor is apportioned. It's at best, reckless that they didn't.

I definitely think it's very possible we could improve overall with big Isak money re-invested, or at least be no worse. However, not at this stage in the transfer window.

Well done for ignoring years of context and being a massively thick cunt
