It does seem a bit like we might have wanted to know what the market was for our players rather than seeking to sell them.

What?  like Ebay?

Absolutely, one of the issues football faces is PSR/FFP has basically sucked a lot of liquidity out of the game which will make high value transfers difficult to do.

Regardless of the PSR rules being a joke it's absolutely ridiculous by the club if we got ourselves into a situation where we were even thinking about selling Isak.

And it didnt happen so i don't really care about what ifs. I imagine there will be bids to test us at end of window. Hope we resist, nothing seen from him to suggest he'd be upset if we refused all bids

Apart from the multiple times we stated we werent interested in selling him its always bestto beleive someone posting for clicks instead. Tis the NUFC way....

Loads of Liverpool fans on the comments saying "I can't believe we turned this down, so idiotic to pass this up!"

Maybe it's because it didn't happen?

So we decided to sell our best players at cut price deals, and then thought last minute “hold on, maybe sell Minteh and Anderson instead”. None of it makes sense, but Liverpool fans will gobble it up.

Howe confirmed post match that the sub was planned and he isn’t injured.

Heart was in mouth when he was down as he looked to fall awkwardly on his shoulder.  Have to wrap him in cotton wool - there is only one Isak.

10 years ago we were going into the new season with our hopes pinned on Riviere to fire us up the table, now we have a genuine world class rolls Royce of a stud leading the line. I can't believe this man plays for our club.

Looked fit and confident yesterday. We just have to get him through the season without running him into the ground and he will be spectacular.

That little burst from the halfway line near the end was exceptional, almost Henry reincarnated.

He scored alot of goals last year despite rarely being 100% in my eyes. So if we can rotate better this time to keep him fresher I think he will have his best season so far.

Yeah he was a (brilliant) 70 min player last season. Didn’t score from open play in the last 20 mins of any game he started.

He’s got to be getting more rest this season, even if it means coming off after an hour more frequently. Hopefully Big Willy’s arrival with help with that.

Yeah, don’t be relying on Callum the Crock.

If we can go a couple of goals up in our first few games, would be nice to bed in Osula and bring on harvey for gordon after 70 mins...

If we can keep everyone fit it is going to be a good year.

P.S. Would be good to ration big Joe's minutes as he seemed a bit unlucky with niggly injuries last season

I think playing injury free helps that alot. Wasn't it a groin strain he was struggling with alot last year? Can imagine that makes you nervous to open up fully and sprint at full speed.

Also could be the defenders he was up against he knew were slower than him.

But like I said above, he just looked confident in his own ability and hopefully that carries through to the season and he can avoid niggling injuries this time 🤞
