Henry wasn't an out and out striker when he arrived at Arsenal, and he joined a team where they had goal scorers across the park - so he had to share the spoils with the likes of Bergkamp, Pires, Ljundberg, Silva, Kanu and Vieira.

MInd you, 41 goals from 67 in the Prem is world class by any standard.

on an Arsenal forum they've been doing little formations as to where he might fit in their side

Off the shoulder of their CBs I would have thought.

Man ... this guy seems really content, happy and comfortable.

We will make Europe and he will get a big new deal.

Fans everywhere else thinking they can sign him will cry so many tears.

I'm drunk and don't mean to be rude bit anybody who doesn't understand that Isak is levels above everyone else at the club, including Bruno, just doesn't get it!

Im also drunk and I think you are right to a point but he still has one or two things he could improve. Bruno is levels above in terms of influence on the club and in game to Isak so it's subjective imo

Isaks talent is on par with Hatems level. He is just not the most clinical finisher in the world like Shearer. If he further improves on that aspect he is simply the second coming of Henry.

Henry played CF with Bergkamp behind him from the moment he joined Arsenal - he was Anelka’s replacement.  Juventus previously pushed him onto the wing because they had Del Piero, Inzaghi and Fonseca available to play central.

Don’t know if this is a forum bit, but he is significantly more talented than Ben Arfa

don’t think he is, HBA was stupid talented, in the top 5 most naturally gifted players we’ve had. It was the mental aspect and coaches we had at the time that limited his output.

Isak is the better player as he has the mental aspect screwed on right but talent wise it’s bloody close.

Glad he finally got his hat trick. Seems like he must have about ten braces for us. But somehow never managed it.

What’s good the last 5 games or whatever it is. Is that he is still missing some easy chances. But we are creating enough across the whole game that he is still bagging goals. His all round contribution to our play has been loads better since Liverpool, too.

Run out of superlatives for him yesterday, really. He’s just fucking class, basically.

I don’t think there’s much between him, Bruno and Tonali at all. Obviously all different types of player so impossible to even compare. Can’t believe we have them all thinking back to where we were recently.

It does help that he’s scored another two since. I said it over a year ago. He’s absolutely irreplaceable with any amount of money.

Yes agreed but just admit your original post was designed to kick off an argument and that you were really looking forward to getting your teeth stuck into it

has he scored many with his left? I'm starting to rack my brain now and can't think of any?

That 1v1 chance he had should really have been going with his left peg and trying to drill into the bottom corner but he tried to contort his body to get around it.

Still though, just shows even if extremely one footed he is a pretty lethal player but even now you can see areas he can improve further and develop into the best striker in the world if he keeps pushing himself.

*Edit* just remembered that left footer into the top corner vs Sunderland.

also now the best forward in the league for key passes (passes leading directly to a shot) and shot-creating actions (the two actions taken which lead to a shot, ie passes, dribbles or tackles) this season.

He's out of this world, the fact he's as adept dropping deep as he is playing on the shoulder is incredible.

As some of us have been saying he is not a hold it up type, he absolutely thrives when he has players around him and players running ahead of him.

I’m certain all top strikers get one or two wrong every match. The best continue to plug away and get their goals. Isak is in that category.

When he drops in and plays link up balls wide and turns up field and bursts into the box, it’s a thing of beauty. Funny, reminds me of Prime Shearer where he’d play a first time ball into space and we’d be off to the races.
