He is obviously class but I was disappointed by him on the first Barnes goal.

He was ahead/next to Barnes at the time the ball was played out to Murphy. That's his goal to put away but Barnes wanted it more.

Looking at the replay. Not his best moment. His pass to Tonali was perfect however.

Seems like tactically we wanted him to draw the center backs out and that's part of him playing a bit deeper than usual

Minor criticism. As he is so good elsewhere and is better than just a poacher type. But he often hovers about or drops off for a cut back. He rarely attacks the 6 yard box. He did the same earlier in the game after one of Tino’s runs.

Just want him to get past last year’s total. Certainly deserves to with how good he has been.

I do also think he is a victim of his own success. Similar to a few of our players. Teams often man mark Bruno all game. Double up on Gordon when he plays to stop him cutting in. I think Isak is gettinf the same touch tight, physical treatment.

If it means more room for Barnes? Gordon, Murphy and the likes of Tonali running off him. Then it isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

Given he's scored the most goals from inside the 6 yard box in the league, I'm not sure that's a particular weakness of him at all.

He regularly drops back when wingers/full backs get to the byline. Ends up marking himself out of it. Watch him in a crowded box and he almost always does it.

I’m not saying he doesn’t score tap ins from deflections or get on the end of crosses and I don’t know what instructions they get for their ‘patterns of play’ or whatever they call it. I just notice him often opting for the cut back and not aggressively going at the goal.

He's greatness is such that he doesn't have to score to be impactful. Sets up the opener with brilliant individual tek.

Think back to the two semi final Cup games vs Arsenal, didn't score in either but had the best defensive pairing in the league on skates over both legs.

Most importantly, need contributions from everyone and his presence opens up a lot for the likes of Murphy, Gordon, Barnes etc

I was so sure he didn't bag in either, got that dead wrong.

Regardless, goes to show how great he played as my memories of his overall performance was that he played incredible despite not scoring.
