Tbf they sort of did, they kept possession and won the ball off us more than most I've seen at SJP this season. They did nothing with it mind and a lot of it is probably down to our underperformance more than anything.

Memphis
Perfect win. Disgusting match save for the last 15 minutes of the first half. Nullified Everton completely. Looked bereft of energy but still had much more than Everton did. These are wins of character and mental strength. We are a tremendously tough team. Don't know how much longer we can work this hard with a squad this thin but long may it continue.
Unlucky Luque
Parts of the first half was some of the best football I have seen us play since Bobby (barring perhaps 11/12, but that was more down to the players than the plan). We looked absolutely lethal at times, and combined with the best defence in the league, wew lad, we're in for a treat.

The Prophet
That was a tough watch. Once we scored, I thought we were quite happy for Everton to have the ball, knowing that they don't really know how to use possession. They could have played for an hour and wouldn't have scored. Which they are.

We should’ve been up by 2-0 at halftime really. Murphy is so shite ? I quite enjoyed the match, but sounds like you found something better to watch, fair play. Dr.Spaceman
Wins like this are so important, got to be able to grind out shite games like these as well as smashing the dross like Brentford. Bodes really well for the rest of the season

alexf
There was a 10 minute spell around the goal where we could have bagged about 3 or 4 but 2nd half we were a bit off it. Really nice to have that growing confidence now though that when they want to shut up shop and just see out a game, we actually can.
Holloway
thought they won the midfield encounter 2nd half, but did fuck all with it. Feel like we're surely going to rotate at Spurs, they must be absolutely knackered. Even just after half time it was so open but some of the counters looked like they were happening in slow motion. The physical effort from teams this season is off the charts really. Schedule is just so intense.
