This is Mackem behaviour on 'roids. Hounding out one of their own, chasing down his motor and hoying it up on "socials". It's football, life will go on when you're relegated, you entitled Scouse Mackem freaks.

They absolutely deserve to go down given the way they're treating their own players. They're too dense to realize how thick they all look carrying on like this. @Neil is sound and I'm sure is as embarrassed by these mouth breathers as much as we would be if this were us.

Moyes Everton were actually a good watch and played some great football, it's gone downhill since other than a Martinez 5th and Silva getting them 8th.

That Fernandes goal. Wow

It really is ridiculous

Such a shit decision for such a huge game, in the moment it's one thing to make a poor decision but they have the luxury of VAR and still get it so wrong

It's the equivalant of having Chris Wood, in an offside position, chasing the ball, but not getting anywhere to touching it and letting the real Bruno go through and score.

I think it's an example of VAR not having a good influence. In order to bring some uniformity, they simplified the interpretation of the law by saying that if the attacker doesn't touch the ball or prevent a defender from influencing play, then they aren't offside. This instance tests that interpretation to the limit, but according to the current practice, the ref and VAR were correct in allowing the goal to stand.

Maybe the law needs tweaking to include 'in possession of the ball' which Rashford undoubtedly was.

For many years, the law was applied too strictly, and I think it's positive that there's a more relaxed take on it. The classic example of this was the Leeds 'goal' in the 1975 European Cup final-

Teams should all just have a player goal hanging all match, as long as he doesn't touch the ball then fine, they have basically just thrown out the off side role.

A none goal scoring, forward who just gets in the way and you don't want to touch the ball, the perfect role for Chris Wood!

I don't think there is an issue with the law

It has reference to interfering with play, which he clearly does

The ref made a mistake but VAR didn't want to get involved as it regarded it a a subjective decision and they apparently only get involved if they consider it a howler. Again the issue being it was a howler so why they didn't see it that way is absurd

Similar to how Fraser was wiped out by Ederson and it was justified by the ball being far away and not in his possession we'll see plenty of examples in the coming matches which makes a mockery of the above

Everton and Chelsea are good examples that fat war chest isnt same as successful club. If management is clueless, result is disaster. First, build good management and scouting. Second, spend money wisely. We are heading to right direction regarding those issues.

Has much been made of the Spanish Super Cup final being in Saudi later today?

Was there 3 years ago and last year so don't think much has been said this time around

Was a little bit of noise initially though similar to AJ fighting there

Defo hoping for an Arsenal win here, although a draw won't be bad with Spurs being at home (so more onus on them getting something). A home win would be the worst by far.

Surprised to see Arsenal not far off even money favourites, despite them being top of the league. Thought it would be near enough 50/50.

I take it everyone is up for an Arsenal win,?, 4-3 to the Arse with a Kane hatrick for the fantasy football points.

Have to be, if we are being realistic and realising that we are not in a title fight, then yeah you have to go for an Arsenal win.

Arsenal are fucking cunts for not doing the job for us when we need them too, did it all the time when they were up against our relegation rivals.
