Aye. So I’m right. Partey can protest as long as he’s not invading personal space.  And others can protest from a distance.

Well that's not what happened at all over this weekend, but sure, you're right, as always....

Big win for them psychologically ahead of the start of the season.

A limp loss would have been demoralising after last season especially.

I think it has absolutely zero relevance to the league

Liverpool won it last year and in better fashion, ultimately meant nothing

Don't get me wrong, don't blame them for being happy, just seems a bit over the top imo

They've lost 8 in a row to them.

This result is a great confidence boost for them going into the season.

Doesn't mean they are going to win the league. No one said that.

Arsenal fans will believe this is their season again.

I think they'll be disappointed. Havertz didn't look like the answer to their striker problem. Rice didn't seem to fit in at all, and barely got involved. It was interesting that in the move that led up to that final corner, they opened City up by interchanging quick, short passes through the middle. It was Arsenal at their best, but it wasn't a move that Rice would have been comfortable in at all.

Don't know if you saw any of Villarreal vs Nice yesterday at SJP but Moffi looked really strong and powerful for Nice. You rate him? Guessing you've seen a bit of him

Hilarious that Froggy’s boys booed him on the field. Not forgetting they were crying about being ripped off by the club they love as their local league is shit and Celtic play teams other than Rangers too much so they lose interest but the club sees them as obvious marks.

WTF was Maguire doing at Man Utd today his mistake for the goal was just shit play.

Maguire does this every time he plays for us now. he has to go. He's under far too much pressure.

The mistake was bad enough but how far out of position was he ? TBF I've just seen the clip and not the full incident but it seems crazy the position he was in.

It's standard. He thinks he's some marauding full back. He's constantly caught out of position and doesn't have the pace to recover.

I feel sorry for him at this point though. He did improve us when he came in. His confidence must be shot to pieces though. Was a bit disgusted at those plastic Irish fans booing him yesterday.

Watching the half time analysis during Liverpool Darmstadt on LFC TV, and Mark Lawrenson is on. :anguish:

He looks 400 years old

He is unbearable. Like he was always unbearable, but age has not softened him. He's being paid to report on a friendly and he spent the entire time saying "well i dont know why we even play these games"

The other two fellas talking about the goal they conceded and how Liverpool will always play a very high line with a sweeper keeper, and that the midfield/attack have to press more. Lawro immediately jumps in and tell them the defenders have to drop back and cover, completely contradicting everything the others have said (and how Liverpool choose to play).

Just flicked Soccer Special on and the first words out of Merse's mouth (they're talking about the situation at Wolves)

"...you don't want to bring someone in from abroad, you want Gary O'Neil, he's been in the league recently and will know the players. Someone from abroad takes 6 months to work it out and by then you're relegated"

Spectacular insight and punditry as per
