Refereeing competence has been questioned in every sport since there were professional leagues. But honestly, people look for conspiracy under every rock when it is much more likely that we'll notice the incompetent performances, and completely forget about decent jobs. It's a relatively new technology added to a few rule changes. Wonder what the propensity for correct calls will be in five years time.
