Since then have had relegation battles every season apart from probably last season and they were deducted a load of points, they were canny last season. I'm all for finding The Ev amusing but Benitez took them on a run of 1 win in 13 before getting sacked. They (the vast majority of those in Goodison at least) never turned on him until it was getting poor in November-December. It was doomed from the start, Benitez' stint there.
