I don't really bet, so I can't particularly comment, but I'll take your word for it

They do a betting show alongside their main show. Some wild picks and reasoning

I start listening to it when we were in the championship with Rafa then got bored of the main show but stick the betting one on occasionally

Yeah that's why you don't make a judgement on teams who play CL, atleast until mid season. Fatigue could be starting to settle for them.

Said at the start of the season this would happen. We could see them fall down the league during November / December. If they are lucky they won’t get the injuries we had and will be able to pick it back up in the new year.

Well spotted.  Blatant penalty to go with the one where the defender smothered the ball with his prone body on the ground and guided it back with his arm. Ridiculous non refereeing.

Yeah I said the same, there is allways the early hype of certain overperformers. I think their legs are getting tired, despite not having injury problems.

Just catching up on those fantastic two handball decisions from tonight. Great stuff, The Referee Show goes on.

In all seriousness, the Merino one I'd be calling for if it was against my team but the Villa thing is ridiculous pedantry.

The Villa one has to be given as a penalty. Especially with how fashionable it currently is to play out from the back. You can't just have defenders decide to pick the ball up and try again for whatever reason.

Was lucky not to get a yellow because a more intentional handball you'll never see. (Being generous he might not have known the ball was live but it could have been and he intentionally handled it)

Reading the comments from Emery and Villa afterwards on the BBC article it doesn't sound like they have any complaints about it. When the headline said mistake I assumed I was about to be watching a ref mistake but everyone seemed accepting it's was Mings'.

The Arsenal one last season should have been given too. I wonder if that's what's caused refs to pay attention to this happening but I don't really know how common an occurrence it is.

Lewandowski on 99 CL goals. Think that’s 19 overall for the season already and all. Looked like he was on the way out at this level last season. But he’s scoring for fun again under Flick.

Lewa had a falling out with Xavi last season, you could see he wasn't comfortable with how we were playing. But still, being such a goal machine at his age - what a player

I see he still actually got alright numbers last year, all things considered. Just looked finished at that level when I saw him playing. Can’t stop scoring now and looks sharp, again.

Plenty of tap ins. But just shows the system is working perfectly for him.

Unashamed King Lewy fan boy, BTW. One of my favourite non-NUFC players since his Dortmund days and my Grandad was Polish. So have a massive soft spot for their national team, too.

Xavi's system required more creativity from the front three - which it really isn't Lewa's or Raphinha's strength. Now that their job is focused on looking for spaces and finishing, they both are having fantastic seasons.

I thought he wanted to play on the wing? And even demanded it for a while in PSG? The thing is they have Vini on the left.

My only issue with Lewy is that damn penalty kick run-up of his

Reminds me of the situation where Isak got brought down inside the box, and they didn't even show a proper replay. Noone talked about it, it was assumed that the defender took the ball when he didn't. What game was that?

Wonder if there might be a Swap with City for Haaland. Based of an idea that Haaland wants to play in a few of the major leagues at some point.

Good shout, might be one for the next Man City manager though, I'm convinced Pep will go after this season.

Right wing watch:

Yilmaz going up against Spurs for Gala.

Although he's playing more of a right wing back position it looks like.

Osimhen starts too. Will be interesting to see how Spurs manage against him.
