Seems absolutely insane to give a penalty because they didn’t score from the advantage the deflection gave the opposition. Really silly arbitrary rule. It was given because the ball hit his hand and his hand was out above his head. Forget what happened after that, that’s why it was given. If that wasn’t given against us I’d be raging.
