Paullow
My preferred preference would be draw-Villa-Brighton, and obviously far less chance of the least desired result happening with that goal.
Klaus
Can they not both lose? Can't stand Villa, and I feel dirty wanting them to win

frankpingel
At this moment a Villa win is preferable from a Newcastle perspective. Doesn't feel right but NUFC come 1st.
STM
Have put my hatred of Villa to the side. I like Emery and we've embarrassed them already this year. They've also been victims of Gerrard, which I wouldn't wish on anyone.
STM
Danny Ings has always been good like, one of those staple PL strikers who can hustle and bustle whilst getting you 12/15 goals if given a good run. He's very similar to Wilson. Not as good obvs.
Paullow
If Brighton win then they are 6 behind with a game in hand. Villa will still be 12 behind if they win having played the same amount. No brainer to want them to win if there had to be a winner. Still prefer a draw mind. I don't mind Villa as much now that we've got our shit together. They will no bother now they have a good manager and should be looking to finish around 10th this season, but I would rather they stayed up. My mindset has changed now that we're not also-rans making up the numbers, so I would want as many traditional sides in the PL as possible. That obviously won't be shared by many on here. Still wouldn't mind Everton dropping this season though
Guest
Yeah can't see this being anything but good. Always nice having that safety net if things don't go to plan.

Pilko
VAR man. Ran by absolute fucking divvies. That's a stonewall pen.
Nate
Bizarre. Can only think it was because Digne was already in the motion of kicking the ball, which shouldn’t matter.
Geordie Ahmed
Bizarre decision but won't complain too much Villa win is the preferred result My recent dislike of Villa was due to Gerrard, indifferent about them now
Comegetasample
Absolutely not a pen, what's Digne meant to do stop his whole leg in motion.
Sean
Doesn't get the ball, could have broken his leg and no foul

Bimpy474
The Australian ref Gillet has proved over and over he's nowhere good enough, and that decision as the VAR ref just proves the point even more. He's not good enough, a terrible ref.

It doesn’t have to be player’s fault to be a penalty though. March got there first and was then fouled, it shouldn’t matter what Digne was doing. Conjo
Brighton are good, but they'll not be a threat to us unless they get a good striker in January. Well run club, likeable players - hope they get something out of this.
duo
A lot of players going down of late pretending they are injured. Koulibaly blatantly did it yesterday.
