Previous two Palace seasons they had 43 and 44 points respectively. Vieira got them 48. Fantastic. I think he did an admirable job and I have a massive amount of respect for way he handled that Everton fan last game of the season. I just feel like he got a bit of leeway when things weren’t so rosy. Could be because he’s a Premier League legend or for other reasons. We’ll see in the next coming weeks as Palace have been underperforming. I don’t think anyone will be calling for his head though and rightly so. Palace to me are where they should be.

i do think there’s a bit of an underlying bias of people wanting him to do well like when everyone wanted Obama to be president. To bring change and so on.

he gets far more exposure than Eddie Howe. I remember countless talksport videos about how good of a job he was doing. Countless.

Is got nothing to do with the fact he's black, which you're unsubtlely tip-toeing around. We're the media obsessed in over playing Chris Hughtons achievements or Terry Connor or Jean Tigana? It's because he's a legend of the Premier league and because he plays a good style of football. And if course because last season he did very well considering he stepped into a squad losing half its players.

All that cash Chelsea have spent and they look absolutely dump.

Chelsea in the past few seasons to me are the side in the top 4-6 that are most likely to look a mess on any given day. Lots of good players, often they click, but plenty of times I see them and they're all over the place and you wonder how they spent so much and look so poor.

What I find interesting is a lot of the top clubs (Man City and maybe Arsenal aside) have a lot of issues.  Man United just seems toxic and I think it'll be years before they win the league, Chelsea seem to have no plan about their future, Liverpool need a massive rebuild and Spurs are sort of middling (performances have been poor despite the results) but you could see Conte just fucking off at any point.

Agree and an ideal opportunity with some good January signings to leapfrog them.

This is gonna sound weird but is there a biological explanation for the phenomenon of why left footed players tend to be really, really, left footed? Is it just a visual illusion?

You never tend to see right footed players be quite so 100% one footed.

Someone tell me I'm not going mad here please.

100% agree just look at Kevin Sheedy, however Ginola was the exception.

Football fans are crazy man.

Liverpool last season were being hailed as arguably the greatest ever PL team. 92 points in the league, missing out by a point. Narrowly beaten in CL final. Won the other two cups they were in.

Chelsea have just got new owners and signed a new manager. So harsh to say they've no plan as well. Give Potter time.

As for us being toxic, you mean Ronaldo? Probably the most together the team has been for a while.
