I'm still a bit nervous and not wanting to tempt fate, its not based on logic. If we'd have made it 3-0 (Barnes and another nearly one on one) I'd have felt worlds different. Man United last week proved that. 3-0 is the new 2-0.

Slot is likeable. Shame their supporters are a bunch of self righteous cunts. Would love Musk to buy them.

Ange is an absolute prick. Whingy little cunt.

In the event we get to the final, it'd be absolutely mental to want to play Liverpool over Spurs.

I know right, cant believe some here wants it. Proper loser mentality.

I want the best chance of us winning, if we lose, we lose.

It's going to be awful if we lose regardless of the opponent.

Beat them at Old Trafford last time we played on neutral ground. Unsure of anything else.

One thing I will say is that if we do get to the final, our support needs to be far better than it was last time. Didn’t bother doing anything til the 85th minute.

It'll be the same people, more or less

Absolutely want Spurs in the final should we get there. They're the worst team of the two and there'd be more of an edge to it. I would feel very much alive ahead and during that game. From the neutral point of view it's also the more interesting fixture for a cup final.

If Klopp was still there the opportunity to vanquish those demons in dramatic style would be irresistible. But he's not, so Spurs please.

We are knocking on the door. When we blew the league I just thought we will win it next season, to be fair I was only 13. When I went to Wembley in 98 I wasn’t all that gutted as first time at a final, thought the chances would come round again quickly and it did, was more gutted year after due to opposition and probably worse performance. By the time of the Chelsea and Man U semis I was already soured, and 23 was also hideous. But if I look objectively we surely are going to win one soon and I’d wager being there for that would eclipse something bigger down the road.

We never beat Liverpool so definitely don't want them in this or any other final. That being said they will over turn it at Anfield anyway.

Time to break that this year

That Chelsea semi was one of the worst feelings i've ever had following the Toon. Dominated them and then that cunt Poyet...ugh. We'd have beaten Villa in the final that year i'm sure of it, they were nowt back then

Think everyone would prefer Spurs. Got to just think of ourselves, get through the second leg then I trust whomever we play our squad will be more than motivated. Especially those that lost last time that are still here.

If we can make a signing or two to enhance the team combined with our new found groove in midfield, defence and upfront, I think we have every chance regardless of who we face.
