Every single striker they sign is shit, they are obsessed with signing CBs, then sign 2 more the year after. Their midfield is Powderpuff. You can't play Soucec as the only one who actually defends. Ward Prowse needs to be in a hardworking 3 and paqueta is the quinisential passenger with a bit o magic. Trouble is, when they are often on the back foot he offers little. Bowen is their only threat and even then he's limited. Honestly have no idea what the fuck happened with Fullkrug - he's obviously miserable there. Funnily enough he feels like a striker from 20 years ago - they just need to bang crosses in to get the most out of him. Areola being replaced looks an issue, with the lad coming in really struggling. Sometimes it's easy to overestimate a goalkeepers quality when they are at a club under siege. They can look more impressive than they are due to the volume of shots and the fact that the rest of the team are shit. I think Ramsdale is an example of this too, but I hope he's a success here. Honestly they've not recovered from losing Mark Noble and Declan Rice. They completely lack any defined leader and feel like a bunch of individuals who happen to be at west ham rather than a club. He has a couple of outstanding attributes, namely set piece delivery and crossing but everything else is well below average.
