Really think in 15 to 20 years this will be looked at as a lost generation of football. Teams cannot compete.

I get the sentiment I really do, but how is this current climate any different from years gone by? I’ve been watching football for 30 years and it’s always been dominated by a small handful of teams.

Im enjoying football (Newcastle) as much as I have done since I was a kid.

Having the resources doesn't seem to matter without the revenue but there's a big old *SCENE MISSING* card when it's asked how to grow revenue if you can't sign exciting players.

Tbf, it was worse 20 years ago. The differential in spending between the top four and the rest was even greater. At least the rest of the PL gets more money to spend now, but that’s just moved the chasm further down the pyramid.

Because they could have competed and we saw natural shifts with certain teams massively rising and becoming dominant teams when they hadn’t been previously. That’s no longer possible because of football politics that’s tantamount to corruption. We’ve had enough of politics in real life, we don’t need it dominating football but it’s only going to get worse

I've only been a fan for 20 years but the game I fell in love with isn't this.

Agreed, although tbf my Dad said the same 40 years ago, and right now I could say the same about so many aspects of life.

It was always about community with me and the fact I’m now back in that community helps…for now.

I understand the frustration but just need to try and enjoy it. We’ll probably end up dropping close to £200 million this summer once Ramsay and Wissa are done - not to be sniffed at. We’re competing more than we have since SBR. Revenue is growing year or year too, we’ll get there.

I know we'll get there we have infinite money but what the fuck is the point of being a Fulham fan.

Can't imagine wtf the game is gonna look like in 15-20 years tbh, just feels like this is all so unsustainable

Exactly, you had much more variety in the teams finishing in the top 6 vs 30 years ago.

1992/93 season had Villa 2nd and Norwich 3rd.

I'll be shocked if he's not an England regular in the next two years.

Would love it for him personally. Cant see it myself but we’ll find out 👍🏻

Unless we are smart Howe will be the manager by then for England and therefore he’ll know him well. Though didn’t make him a regular whilst here.

The teams changed and there was hope. We've had Blackburn, Leicester, Leeds, Man CIty and Chelsea win the title since I've been into football - all of which would be outlawed had the current rules been in place then. And that's where were at now. Just with Man CIty and Chelsea having got in before the bell.
