Isak was born and raised in Eritrea.

Haaland was raised in Bryne, Norway and continuously posts about his hometown club on social media  The time he spent in Leeds as a baby will be a time he has no memory of.

I know I'm an absolute cunt for complaining after a 11-1 win, but Østigård is as low iq as footballers come. He'll be the death of any aspirations we might have in the WC if he gets any minutes. Record win of all times ruined by a retarded romsdaling.

Surely the keeper could have done better there?

Literally not even under true pressure and just hoofs the ball towards his own goal like he thinks he’s wearing yellow  @Conjo’s 100% correct, fraud of a footballer, always has been and always will be. It’s why no club keeps him around longer than 12 months before getting rid.

Seems like Solbakken is finally doing some good things with Norway. However, this shoehorning reminds me a bit of Southgate. He absolutely insists on playing Sørloth at right wing just to get him in there. In 2 years he has barely played a single good game on the wing. Bobb was on the bench yesterday. He has been starting for Man City recently.

I am Nigerian by birth and blood, American by dual citizenship, and Congolese by marriage. Three nations with 600+ million people between them and countless high level athletes that somehow manage to be complete shit at football. I am tired. I told myself to give up supporting the failed state of Nigeria years ago, yet here I am cursing at these fools embarrassing the national colours once again and throwing away another World Cup. Some sicknesses can never be cured. My wife and father and law were downstairs cursing at DR Congo and scaring children as they blew their chance at a ticket as well. The amount of talent (and money in America's case) wasted by these countries is ludicrous.

DR Congo will go into the play-offs most likely, no? 3 more points against either Togo or Sudan should secure that place.

Nigeria are almost certainly out. It would require a small miracle to even make the play-offs.

Of course, but DRC still threw the ticket away in that instance. Even holding on to a draw from being up 2-2 would likely have made them big favourites. The playoffs are going to require winning two one match knockouts in Africa and two more against other confederations. Very difficult path.

Nigeria's group was one of the easiest groups and they have completely embarrassed themselves. Nothing will change, though.

Fuck me Don Goodman is insufferable, he’s like a goldfish. A couple of minutes ago he was slating the referee for blowing the whistle for a challenge when he shouldn’t have, and now he’s saying the referee has had a good game and he’s allowed play to go on.

Every time he’s on he just analyses what’s happening right in front of him as an occurrence for the whole game.

A team could spend all game getting battered, clearing balls of the line, keeper making world class saves, to pinch the game 1-0 in stoppage time and he would turn around and say that the team who won it was ‘dominant, utterly dominant’.
