I guess its bit like when it was City or Liverpool, yeah it sucks that City get to cheat and win so much but I almost nothing them a little bit as they feel like such an empty club so it always feels a lesser of two evils when it's them or Liverpool/Arsenal/Chelsea/Man U etc.

Used to find Arsenal by far the least offensive in the past, especially under Wenger when they played some great football. But something about this era's Arteta team and the likes of Gabriel etc and the way there fans carry on (I know our social media fans are a bag of shite aswell).

Will make it more palatable to get our usual humping away at City if it puts the pressure in them. Although also means we could go get a result and doesn't hand them the title.

I just find City inoffensive from a football perspective, like a floating, dead club with inoffensive fans. I almost admire their complete disregard to the rules and middle finger to the PL. Wish we'd be a little more like that. Arsenal on the other hand are easy to despise, from their manager, to their players and most of all their deluded, perpetually moaning fans.

Yep the bold is also how I feel. Everything about them is 'super disney' - the state of the art training facilities, the manager, the style of play so whether they win or lose it's whatever. I guess a lot is down to not knowing any City fans as well.

I can understand the view of lesser of two evils, but tbh firstly being happy with a team we see as a non-entity always winning isn’t a fun way of looking at the league and shows something needs changing. It’s not competitive if it’s only City/Liverpool winning, but at least mixing it up keeps it interesting until we will one day be able to compete. If not possible, then City are merely part of that, despite all this talk of a red cartel. They had an insane amount to spend this year.

Secondly as annoying as Arteta is, Arsenal seem to have avoided all these FFP charges that haven’t stopped City win year after year. Unless it’s a setup they’re getting away with something that we keep complaining about ruining our chances, as well as punishing smaller clubs. The rules need to change for sure, but we can’t cheer on potential cheats and then complain we can’t do the same.

For the record I see Arsenal as one of the other teams I loosely follow, but Arteta in particular annoys me and I’ve got far less enthusiasm for them now. They haven’t done anything bad to us though.

Arteta will probably get the sack if they don't win PL or CL. They'd have to win both cups or something for him to stay another year in that case.

How can you loosely follow another premier league side? Not having a go just genuine question, they’re too big for the ‘look for their results’ criteria.

Quite risky changing the manager, they seem all in on the all goals from set pieces Arteta route. Not easy to pivot to playing better football.

True, but with that team they should be able to win in other ways..

Bit premature people assuming City will overtake them now aswell. Arsenal have left the door ajar plenty of times already this season and the chasing teams still found a way to fumble and gift them back the points cushion.

So based on this season I wouldn't be shocked to see City drop points to us at the weekend and then Arsenal are back to 5-6 point gap.

However with our history at the Etihad, that just isn't gonna happen is it [emoji38]

Man City made a couple of really good signings in January and have most of the their players back from injury, so I can see them being very strong for the final third of the season.

The Semenyo and Guehi signings have been huge for them

In addition Rodri is slowly getting up to speed, don't tthink he'll be back to his best until next season but he's starting to play at a much better level than when he first returned from injury

City did drop chances before (when they dropped points to Sunderland, Brighton, Chelsea) but that Liverpool turnaround was huge for them and now they smell blood, combined with Arsenal being absolute bottlers it's hard to look past City winning it from here

Both might drop points again, just hope Arteta doesn’t win it in the end.

I don't understand why people don't want arsenal to win, I hate hate hate arteta but unlike Chelsea and man city they haven't cheated financially, making it harder for the rest of us.

Makes it even funnier when a wanker like Arteta and their unhinged fans blow the title to a bunch of cheats.

Didn't say it's not funny just that I hate financial cheats more then anything personally.
