Aye they were brilliant that night tbf. Genuinely one of the few games I've really enjoyed this season. Pleased they should now stay up. They play some lovely football.

Longstaff's comments about training with the ball have haunted me ever since.

Btw he said at Leeds they train a lot more with the ball than he has in his previous experience. A lot more possession-based, movements etc. he enjoyed it.

You can tell we don't do a crazy amount of possession work. So often players get on the ball and don't know what to do with it. Our team is highly dependent on natural partnerships on the ball. Joe and Joe. Murphy to Isak. Schar to Joelinton. Bruno playmaking. Bruno, Trippier, Almron (2 passers and a mover).

I can accept Howe's limitations but it's that one that irks me.

We've been terrible in and out of possession all season but just talking about in possession aye we've been so sloppy, one paced and have had very little cutting edge. Our ball retention has also been abysmal.

You can talk about cartels, tiredness, luck, PSR, FFP or whatever excuses people want to roll out but these are all fundamental basics that we should be working on in training that we've struggled with so badly. Just been so, so poor all round.

It predates this season mind.  We’ve spoken about for years about facing low blocks. There’s a cluelessness to our attack against a settled defence. we usually found a way to score but we’ve never looked a good side in possession.  We are so direct at times we play aimless balls forward just to turn the opposition defence and press.

Merry Shenanigansmas, lads. Is everyone ready for the level of bullshit they're gonna be on in Anfield.

Last week stood out as being particularly embarrassing with Liverpool winning a throw-in and Fletch prostrating himself before the Gods with “could this be the moment Liverpool are looking for to turn around this tie”

Eurgh, torn over whether to watch this or not. It'll be a great hate watch if they lose, but after "only" losing 2 nil last week when it should've been at least 3, probably 4, got that horrible feeling it'll be another "one of those Anfield nights", which will make horrific viewing.

Coverage is bound to be vomit inducing too, maybe I just won't bother.

Glad it's on Prime - no commentary at all. Hoping for a quick Dembele brace to wrap it up so I can hear their misery in peace :aww:

Yeah. Shut up Shearer! 😄

Murder them PSG.

Put an end to all this talk of the Roar of The Kop, and Anfield magic on European nights.

Batter them...
