Surely they'll start it based on that principle and then just flip it back to 'guaranteed' places after the initial furore has died down?

Yeah there'll be caveats in there somewhere. No chance the former ESL cabal are going to go from 'we're setting this competition up to guarantee top tier income forever more irrespective of performance' to 'yes reform football for the good of everyone'. If they're agreeing to it they'll have assurances they're the big dogs.

He stated 'we've surveyed 50 clubs who agree change is needed..'. It's one thing to agree changes are needed. We all think football needs big changes so it doesn't eat itself. But did these clubs agree with what changes he's proposing? That's two completely different things.

If it's based on performance then I think it's better than the previous closed shop they wanted.

In his rant the bloke heading the ESL rants how clubs with major European histories are struggling to compete. If its about performance, c'est la vie.

None of those elite clubs mourned the demise of Forest or Red Star because of a smaller league, Saint Etienne or Reims when establishing themselves - including teams that have never won it and concievably never will, Barcelona only first won it in 92, Liverpool weren't a big club when European competition started.

If anyone is thinking of getting sky sports on Now TV, with maybe a view to watching the League Cup final,  its £25 a month for 6 months, cancel any time, at the moment, normally £34 a month I think.

I got this for my step-dad last week before the West Ham game knowing he'd get 3 NUFC league games plus the Final in the month. Will cancel it after the Final.

It’s all a pack of lies. They originally said it was so they could compete with English clubs, yet invited the top 6 from England in with them.

What a pussy. Throws a punch from the side and runs off.

Nah there's another video where you can clearly see he's in front of him. That video above is only half the story as well, the Chelsea fan had earlier gone up to him, goaded him and got a warning punch.

They're all absolute gimps though tbf.
