The Prophet
Oooof. Still think Liverpool fans take some beating. Arsenal are miles clear in second though, then it's probably between our lot and Man United for third spot.
Kid Icarus
Probably exposure bias to the e-scousers for us. Before last summer I'd have said the stereotypical Arsenal fans were by far the worst like, they're properly unhinged.

Every time I come across a twitter post from an NUFC fan it feels like every other one of them is batshit insane, entitled, arrogant etc etc.

Yorkie
Quote How have Leicester got into this mess? Leicester’s battle for compliance is a story of the club daring to dream but, in the process, losing the core values that got them there in the first place. Under Brendan Rodgers, before it all unravelled, it has to be remembered that Leicester were consistently disrupting the established elite. Two seasons running they missed out on Champions League qualification on the final day, winning an FA Cup and reaching a European semi-final during the same period. Leicester will argue that they have been punished for simply showing ambition. Strict financial controls have impacted them, just as they do with Aston Villa, Newcastle and Crystal Palace. Those rules are unfairly weighted towards the “Big Six” with their monstrous revenue streams and global appeal, and Leicester have suffered as a result. Yet the past few years have been a struggle which many fans saw coming. Fingers will be inevitably pointed at the club’s owner, Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, and director of football Jon Rudkin for presiding over such chronic mismanagement. The popular consensus is that it began in the summer of 2021, when they spent over £50m on new signings and did not sell a star player. It ensured the pressure was on to continue progressing and stay in Europe. Leicester did not. Although they reached a Europa Conference League semi-final, the decline was already starting. Relegation in 2023 was a disaster from a financial perspective, and they are still feeling the effects. In that 2022-23 season, their wages-to-turnover ratio reached a staggering 116 per cent. Too many poor decisions were made, far beyond the stance of not selling players in that one season. Why were players such as Youri Tielemans, Caglar Soyuncu, Jonny Evans allowed to run their contracts down? That trio all left for nothing. Valuations were also too high. Why were the likes of Vestergaard and Danny Ward given lucrative long new contracts? Why were Harry Winks and Conor Coady offered deals which increased to over £85,000 a week in the Premier League? Leicester had simply not learned any lessons. Even last year they were still paying former head coaches Steve Cooper and Ruud van Nistelrooy their contracts worth over £7m a year combined. In his first interview for almost 10 years last month, Srivaddhanaprabha admitted the club’s PSR issues meant the club “couldn’t breathe”. The culture which defined their title win has also disintegrated. This is a club who have allowed underachieving players to have a direct line to the owner. As Telegraph Sport revealed last season, Vestergaard once brought his pet dog to the training ground. That £100m training ground may be one of the best in the country, but has come at a cost, amid accusations that Leicester have lost their soul and underdog spirit as a result. Supporters refer to the sprawling complex as the “Seagrave Holiday Hotel and Spa”. Leicester must now summon that spirit of old again to avoid dropping into League One. They are seeking a new head coach after the sacking of Marti Cifuentes on Jan 25, which will mean more compensation pay-outs. Leicester travel to Birmingham City this weekend needing to prove their “Foxes Never Quit” motto befits the club. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2026/02/05/leicester-city-hit-with-six-point-deduction-breaching-psr/ People talk about our handling of PSR in these sorts of terms. Offers a fair bit of perspective.

It's 100% a dig at the rules protecting the cartel. It's shit. Probably a message to those saying we should just spend what we want and deal with the consequences like. HaydnNUFC
I hate the premise of “having” to sell your best players. But the mismanagement at that club has been staggering. Why were Soyuncu, Evans and Tielemans allowed to run their contracts down when it was clear either they or the club didn’t want to extend them? Why were plodders like Coady and Winks given such high wages? Why did they spend a hefty fee on shite like Oliver Skipp?
Yorkie
People on the other side of the PSR argument would probably use Leicester's case as an argument in its favour; it's a deterrent for making terrible financial decision after terrible financial decision. Would be quite strawman though. Anyone sensible knows that there's a need for some sort of financial regulation. PSR just ain't it.

Sir Joel Inton
The rules working exactly as they intend. Now Leicester can go back to being a yoyo team somewhere in the Midlands that nobody takes any notice of. Thankfully they’ll not win titles or compete in Europe again. Otherwise Man Utd might miss out. Phew.
