Shak Posted January 15, 2023 Share Posted January 15, 2023 Really not a fan of this 11, there's just such a lack of quality in the final third. I guess the idea is that we're so defensively solid with it that we're hoping to nick games but we don't really look like creating anything at all when we have possession in the final third. It's all going to be predicated on winning the ball high up the field and catching a team out with the press. We've got two CMs sharing one CM role and the left sided attacker role and our most advanced CM is a hard working but incredibly limited player who offers nothing on the ball. Now that the one midfielder with some quality on the ball is injured we desperately need to change. Howe is going to have to start trusting ASM, hopefully he's the one who comes on.
