I do agree he's not really at the very top level though. Fairly sure Dortmund made a big play for him at 17. I think even comparing the lad who arrived to where he's at now, he's taken a big jump. Palace and Brentford signed Eze and Mbeumo for a relative pittance so far easier for them to turn a big profit with a lower fee, and neither had played in Europe until this season. Two birds. One stone. Given the circumstances (25, full england international, 4 years of his deal left, best years ahead of him and can play two positions very well) I'd be gutted with anything less than £80m. timeEd32 Posted May 27 Share Posted May 27 It does seem like we're going to start to see some pressure on the top end of the market due to the rules catching up with many, but £70m has to be the bare minimum (and even that feels low).
