Anthony Gordon

His gait reminds me of Andreas Andersson. As he approaches fullbacks with ball at his slightly inward-pointing feet, he looks like he lacks confidence. Everything looks just a little bit too ponderous... until it isn't. When he can't beat the fullback and turns back towards Big Dan, his little kawaii-girl pivots - inside of right foot plays the ball while the left bends awkwardly inwards - are just like the floppy haired Swede's too. Of course, with wor Anthony it's deceptive, whereas poor Andreas was well out of his depth and knew it.

Wasn’t sure if he was taking the piss or not about not knowing who we have for the last game

Feel sorry for him trailing out there but the selfish side of me is happy he's getting rest and not out there enhancing his rep still further leading to more unneeded speculation and selling of our players in the media.

From a selfish point of view: good.

He's wrecked and hasn't had a rest for 2 years, I'd rather he came back and started where he left off last season. Definitely don't want him peaking by Christmas.

at least he'll come back refreshed, raging  and raring to go and to prove southgate wrong.

I hope him and Palmer start against Slovenia and they tear them a new one.

Gallagher for alexander-arnold will be the only change

Gallagher isn't the answer to anything, guy is a headless chicken.

I'd rather play Wharton TBH, we might keep the ball.

Or as everyone has said, play Bellingham CM and bring Gordon in on the left.
