Superior Acuña Posted yesterday at 17:22 Share Posted yesterday at 17:22 I'm absolutely gutted and so annoyed. Is the final not in these players' heads?? Why would you be so stupid.

Need to replace quite a few players this summer and probably cant do that without selling one of Isak/Tonali/Gordon/Hall/Bruno.
Sean Posted yesterday at 17:26 Share Posted yesterday at 17:26 Missed the game and just seen highlights. What a stupid fucking twat.
Wallsendmag Posted yesterday at 17:28 Share Posted yesterday at 17:28 Honestly can't remember the last time I was as annoyed with one of our players. The way I'm feeling now he can just fuck right off and never play for us again. No doubt by tomorrow I'll have calmed down a bit and mellowed over him but at the minute I couldn't even bear to look at his face. Hope he's sensible and doesn't do owt daft like try to issue an apology on twitter.
AyeDubbleYoo Posted yesterday at 17:29 Share Posted yesterday at 17:29 Just seen the replay, it’s absolutely never a red.
St1pe Posted yesterday at 17:30 Share Posted yesterday at 17:30 Stupid decision by Gordon but that isn’t a red card. The lad missing a cup final for that is criminal.
KaKa Posted yesterday at 17:30 Share Posted yesterday at 17:30 Was having a shocking second half. Poor decisions, poor passes, mis-controlling the ball, and the crowds groans were getting louder. Thought he was getting frustrated with himself more than anything, which led to him lashing out. Guy is too emotionally volatile. Really needs to get a grip when things aren't going well. He either starts trying too hard and making more mistakes, or is prone to losing his head.
Sibierski Posted yesterday at 17:30 Share Posted yesterday at 17:30 Only way he gets away with a red on appeal is if his push was on back to start off with and it’s enough to get doubts thinking it’s violent conduct. Won’t be holding my breath though.
Tsunami Posted yesterday at 17:32 Share Posted yesterday at 17:32 No chance that gets overturned. Veltman is a twat mind.
Decky Posted yesterday at 17:33 Share Posted yesterday at 17:33 Explain to me how pushing someone in the head isn't a red?

Colos Short and Curlies Posted yesterday at 17:34 Share Posted yesterday at 17:34 You know that if was against us Barnes would be scoring the winner in the final and only there because of the red card here. Still not convinced it's a red with some of the challenges that didn't get a yellow, seemed a very high bar for a yellow then very little room to differentiate for a red
robbo_11 Posted yesterday at 17:35 Share Posted yesterday at 17:35 Intent was there for the push as he looks at him before doing it, but the Brighton player was off balance so ended up catching his head. Straight red based on those factors - stupid behaviour.
Decky Posted yesterday at 17:35 Share Posted yesterday at 17:35 Did he not hear the whistle go before he made his run? Why was he even challenging for the ball there? Whole thing is just daft as fuck, no excuses for it at all.

andycap Posted yesterday at 17:37 Share Posted yesterday at 17:37 It was the sheer force of the push that makes it a red like he tried to hurt him.
midds Posted yesterday at 17:37 Share Posted yesterday at 17:37 Just a rush of blood to the head, bit of frustration and a bit of an overreaction from the Brighton lad but he was always going to walk for that imo. You can't do that and expect to get away with it. He's not a robot but he's now going to miss out on a Cup Final at Wembley against his boyh..... Or was that someone else as well? 😂
Sibierski Posted yesterday at 17:39 Share Posted yesterday at 17:39 If referee gave a yellow, I don’t think he gets sent to the monitor and that’s what may save Gordon in his appeal. I’m clutching at straws.

Whole thing is just daft as fuck, no excuses for it at all. I think it was just pure frustration from him at how we and he had played in the second half. He's just gone to push him but because their lad is falling he's got him in the head. Unfortunate, but still stupid like you say.

Hanshithispantz Posted yesterday at 17:42 Share Posted yesterday at 17:42 It's a red like, or at least an 'orange'. It usually shouldn't be overturned (even though a 3 game ban is insane) but every team has a right to have 'unfair' bans knocked on the head given the Arsenal carry on. I know his game is more about raw pace, his tenacity and work rate. But he is poor on the ball a lot of the time. Just loose and careless. There was one in the first half that summed his season up for me. Some great counter attacking play from him and I think Joelinton who found him a few times. Simple pass to Miley which would have led to a shot or playing Trippier or Barnes in down the line. Massively overhit the ball and the chance was gone. Obviously there was a lot of good first half, as well and there were also plenty of other not so good stuff second half. But all season when he cuts in and can’t get a shot away. It never feels like we’re going to do anything with it. I feel like he’s trying to develop further as a player. When I wish he’d just get back to what he’s good at. Got any other examples of this when he has played for us? Because I don't believe this is true at all. I can't think of any and he's well known big advocate of meditation etc. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DGQlCS-TTem/?igsh=MTR5NHVheHBwd2s5Zg== Edited yesterday at 17:46 by Slim
