I much less understand the revision of his performances. After a slow start he's been good this season and I thought he was one of our most positive players today.

It's not necessarily a revision if people don't feel the same way as you do about how he's played so far, to be fair.

Hopefully we will appeal

It won't get overturned he pushed him with force more unnecessary than needed it's in the rules of violent conduct. His face says it all during the challenge

Heartbreaking moment but thankfully we wasted £40m on an understudy.

Think we’ll start Joelinton LW with Willock LCM in the final, mind you.

That would be fucking mental like.

Why the fuck would we appeal it? Schar’s didn’t get overturned. On what planet is that getting rescinded?

As for @Yorkie proclaiming how good he’s been. He really hasn’t like. Like most of our squad. He had a quality run of form when we went on that win streak. Outside of that, he’s been inconsistent at best.

Then you throw in the stroppy, huffy teenager routine and perceived, IMO, lack of effort and tracking back. Which doesn’t always seem tactical. Then it’s easy to see why people have been getting a bit fed up with him when compared to last season. I don’t think it’s kneejerk and plenty have been saying it. But of course that’s horseshit in your eyes.

He is one of our better players. Yet not putting in decent performances very often. You expect up and down, wasteful, frustrating performances from most of our squad. Not the blue chip players and highest earners like him.

He's an idiot but I also blame the ref for the unending amount of holding and pulling that he let Brighton get away with.

We knew Gordon was a hothead when we signed him, I'm surprised this is the first time it's really happened on the pitch.

We fucking better not.

They've done it a few times earlier this year and looked good. The Chelsea cup game, Arsenal home in the league and then at Forest we had that setup and won all three.

Biggest issue with it was it forced Gordon to the right, where he didn’t look comfortable. That’s not an issue for the final.

Meanwhile Barnes has been in the fringes of the team all season, has struggled when he has got on and doesn’t work very hard off the ball, I’m not sure what he’s done to be worth starting?

Liverpool still want to sign him? We'll do them a deal.

This. And it’s not just based off his performance today. He’s been off it all season. He no longer does the hard yards off the ball and quite often throws his hands in the air and sulks and strops when the oppo are on the attack. If there’s one purple to sell: it’s Gordon.

North of £70m and we’d be stupid to turn it down in my opinion.

Shown way too much inconsistency this season and at times, questionable attitude.

Sell before his stock drops more, take the profit and reinvest.

think he had two or three good performances in December and that’s about it. He is one of our best players but rarely shows it and his demeanour on the pitch has been so off this season. It’s like he wants to be the main character and is sulking because he isn’t at times.

We will perhaps miss his pressing in the cup final (if we bother to try and press them) but nothing much else.

We will be limited to very few chances against Liverpool, and I would much rather one of those chances fall to Harvey Barnes.
