I still think PIF should get a Saudi company to order 1 million NUFC-shirts from the club and then donate them to poor people. That would give us some money for new players.

The rules are a disgrace and time will tell if they are removed. It was depressing AF supporting the club from 2007-2021. We had snippets of hope with the 5th placed finish and having players like Ba, Cabaye and Ben Arfa and then Benitez. But it always ended up in tears. We actually have a club that has ambition again, one of the best managers in our history and we go into every game knowing we are going to compete. We will be in and around the top 7/8 and dont have to dread the relegation battles and having our best players sold and not replaced. If any of our best players are sold, the club have continuously stated they will always spend the maximum that they can within the rules.

Depends, if they print out shirts of you and me they sell zero.  I would guess it would be more than 50% but it depends on how many they think they will sell. Anyway, I do believe you. Didn't know what the cut was.

And of course, when Ashley owned us, the club shop was basically a rebadged S***** D*****, so the retailer money for sales at the club shop would still have gone to him, not the club.

Christ could you imagine the carry on and fume from the media if Jim did what Mike Ashley did to us. Could you imagine Gary Neville, Rio etc with the platform they have if Man utd sold their best players, invested nothing in new players over many windows, painted old Trafford in blue and red sports direct tatty logos, renamed the stadium to 'sports direct arena' without paying a penny in sponsorship for many years. Etc etc..

 

Christ we really did let him take the piss out of us didn't we, oh god it's all come flooding back. The league and the media just sat and laughed at us and never said a peep about the disgrace that whole era was. 

 

For that alone we should have been allowed a grace period to have some fun in the transfer market with our new owners but no, shut it all down and keep those plucky northerners quiet .

However whatever we lose, we will have to replace, likely on higher wages as well.

Was hoping any Isak new deal  and Gordon's new one will be offset by miggy wages and also possibly letting go of Wilson and lascelles maybe shipping targett out the door in the summer too will help. 

 

Hoping whoever gets a trigger for a 12 month extension will be at a similar rate to what they currently on too.
