I don't they can avoid this so easily. The cartel want blood.

I think the Premier League will offer them all charges dropped and keep their titles if Man City agree to not pursue any further legal action around the current regulations.

If the PL are cartel puppets they won’t care about the costs of further legal action.

Bleeding the PL financially via courts is one of cities primary strategies.  L

If that happens, and City (understandably) accept this, then City pass all their papers to us and WE then take over !!

Yes.

I think City know they are in for punishment, which is why they've started another case....this will be kicked into the long grass for eternity. They know they've broke the rules and have been caught but have the resources to tie it up for eternity

Really, the results of the 115 hearing is due in the next few weeks.

So possible SCR (Squad Cost rule) of 85% compared to UEFA’s 70% but the PFA are threatening legal action if that’s brought in as they see it as a salary cap. Anchoring to five times the lowest income club (tv revenue) is rejected by Man City and Man U plus City have an ongoing case against APT rules claiming they’re void. The PL has got itself into a bit of a mess.

The fairest would be to scrap APT rules and bring in anchoring so there’s a limit to what the wealthiest can spend.

So anchoring is opposed by 2 clubs, sounds like it will pass 14 club vote then.

PSR passed but City are fighting it legally so wouldn't be sure.

Looks like it could be one more season of working out if we're within 105m of acceptable losses again, rather than the proportion of squad cost vs turnover.

Proper Roy of the Rovers stuff.

If it is we're likely to be around break-even for this season and last.

100% - so it would be of benefit this summer if it happens.  The removal of 'acceptable losses' with PSR is going to sting us.

Must have been an interesting meeting - I know, let's stick with the rules being legally challenged, in order not to bring in new rules in case they are legally challenged.

I just don't get why the limit is not at least increased in line with inflation compared to the 105m when it was implemented, whilst they flesh out any bigger changes to the system.

*edit* - well, obviously I do know why they don't want to do this...

If anything it’s good news for Eales and Mitchell.

Excuses for a poor summer are primed and ready to go.

Do people actually think PSR, and the effect it has on out ability to spend, is actually just made up and we use it as an excuse for not spending?

PSR should be better for us than SCR next season, you'd expect. And by better, I mean slightly less rubbish.

Anyway, get the new stadium announced along with a new "official stadium building and legal objections partner".
