I said wait for the panel's judication to come out. There was always a reason we weren't announcing sponsorship, still didn't stop people slagging the ownership off though.

Just hope we haven’t played it too safe to appease the Premier League.

Went on the Man City forum to see the crack and one poster asked 'what exactly does this mean?' Somebody replied that it means Newcastle United are about to become fucking massive

Buzzing with this news, hope the PL crash and burns, corrupt as fuck.

How does this work - the Premier League potentially going bust?!

Clubs will want their money .. if the prem blocked them under illegal rules then they have every right to sue them.. God knows how much it will cost.

Premier League would have to give other clubs less money to pay for this damage.

Imagine other clubs funding our transfer war chest after we win a sizeable payout for loss of earnings!

It seemed as if you said the amended rules were fine while the other lad said it was all tossed.

It very well may be my poor reading comprehension I will admit.

In that quote masters is saying rules are still in place. No idea on the timeline, mind. (I'd assumed they had come after the ruling). The article (and subsequent ones) are saying they're all in the bin.

Let's just see I guess.

Masters also said the rules that were just declared null and void were all fine.

He's a lying, corrupt cunt of the highest order.

I think people are jumping the gun. It doesn’t mean anything yet (unless we’ve had a sizeable sponsorship offer knocked back, in which case we could conceivably go after the PL for compensation).

It bodes well that the same panel are looking at the updated but equally bodged APT rules from last year. There were only a couple of token changes made to address the obvious and immediate problems the old one had. You’d imagine you can drive a bus through the current version too.

This is a war of attrition. The end game will come when the PL can’t be arsed to fight in court anymore. Give it another 12-18 months before we get some much softer rules.

Premier League is essentially fucked now in its current guise is my understanding. Masters will be shipped out for them to save face and it will go bust after compensation claims and then your big 6 wankers will want the ESL again in the PLs demise as this essentially opens a hole for that discussion to take place. You'd think the FA would need to step in and govern whilst some sort of alternative PL is set up for pure commercial gain.

Mind...I am thick too.

It’s the Premier League’s and top 6’s end game scenario that.

The plan is working better than intended.

The FA won’t do fuck all. I’m struggling to think of anything they have done. Not long ago they gave control over woman’s football up. They stood by and did fuck all during the ESL and the Project big picture schemes played out. They let the Premier League happen in the first place.

Having a job at FA must be the easiest in the world, you probably don’t even need to turn up.

I really hope we have some deals that were knocked back between 2021 to 2024 that we can now go after.

As a minimum I should imagine we could argue the Sela and Noon deals were limited due to the illegal rules.

Good news.

I'm pretty sure that Masters and the cartel clubs will drag their feet and make it as ball achingly slow and tedious a process as they can but it does feel that eventually they'll be forced into allowing clubs like us to be able to push on and challenge.

Suppose there's a chance that City and the PL strike a deal that gets the City lawyers to back off but it would surely be foolish for City to trust them? Seems in their interest to allow the "Big 6" to be diluted a bit and have teams like us, who'll be a natural ally for them, be up there.

Hope we have had the sense to have a number of huge offers knocked back over the last few years so we can sue the PL if the opportunity arises. It's truly, truly shit that this is how football works these days, but it's the new reality and I want us to be ruthless in it.
