They arranged international friendlies during the height of COVID. Mega brains.

They are taking the piss with the second point. That's just a normal operational risk that every club is exposed to. It's like us saying we need an allowance because MA didn't grow our commercial income for 14 years in line with other clubs. Or that last season we had the worst injury crisis in PL history, which means we lost revenue from being knocked out the CL and finishing 7th instead of 4th.

Exactly what Stefan Borson indicated, Everton weren’t allowed the bad debt argument by the PL panel.

All clubs are equal, but some clubs are more equal than others.

Really need some changes to how the PL is being ran. Getting absolute sick of this lack of transparency and objectivity. Ruining the league

PL have tied themselves in a knot here. Everton and other clubs (including us hopefully) will have a field day with this in their next meeting.

Refuse to believe the people running the Premier League would be that dumb

It wouldn't be a lack of intelligence, it would be a lack of integrity

Exactly. What are Masters and co going to do? Penalise Man U for non-compliancy of PSR regulations? That's a surefire way to get the sack.

And therein lies the problem...

Love their vids, but they could've made that a bit better. Like highlighting how Man Utd and Chelsea are protected

Yeah, assumed they were going to carry on ruling out the likes of them before going back to Everton as an easy hit.

Wonder if they lost their first case. I guess we’ll never know until the PL handbook changes or released again without change.

How on earth can you allow a case to go ahead - whose outcomes either way, will affect every other club massively - and not allow any reporting on it, including the fucking judgements until after it's already done and dusted? How the fuck is that allowed? How on earth is it transparent? How on earth are clubs supposed to adjust their entire financial strategies based upon the decisions of a completely closed court?

This is a huge deal here, the state of accounting to circumvent all of this bullshit is off the dial and the fuckers running the gaff won't even allow the fucking decisions to be made public let alone the evidence and rationale behind it all. The whole thing is utterly fucked but the PL are the absolute worst man

No idea if that's correct or not, I'll take your word for it

But I find it incredible that the other 19 clubs who'll be directly impacted immediately by the result of the case don't even want the decision of the case to be made public. That's fucking absurd to me. Hiding the details of the case I can kind of understand but waiting until it's all over and not even announcing the result of it?? Fuck - that's some shady shit

It’s why we didn’t want arbitration for the takeover and threatened a CAT case which would’ve let us spill the dirt on them all.

Man City and the PL jointly appealed to the Court of Appeal against the High Court decision to publish the judgment of Man City's High Court appeal over them being required to disclose documents by the PL.

It's probably generally in clubs' interests to keep disputes private.

Why ? Unless they have something to hide.

Because they generally won't want to have their disputes in public.

As said above, it's entirely within the power of the 20 clubs to have a vote to make the arbitration process public. We lobbied for that during the takeover arbitration and clearly didn't get support from the other clubs.
