Financial Fair Play / Profit & Sustainability

There's no reason though for Premier League to bring it in house any time soon, with all the extra costs it would be to them.

The TV deal is consistent money across the years and they will just keep extending the amount of games that can be shown to keep it at same value (at worse).

If the club the fan follows does terrible, are theygoing to keep paying the top monthly package to watch them? Or reduce the package or cancel altogether and get a new one following season?

Yeah, as much as I want a US-style game pass to watch every match, it’s hard to imagine how it would come into being in the UK.

We get every game on a streaming service here.  It would be feasible to run a streaming only service while still maintaining the Sky etc broadcast service (albeit on reduced pricing terms to the broadcasters).

Club only subscription is bad for the PL product.

But also exactly what most fans would want...most dont give 2 hoots who is playing if it isnt their team, or their team isnt affected in some way or another.

Who's watching Fulham and Brentford?

But Fulham and Brentford fans will be watching Liverpool and Man U. That's the problem, isn't it? As a Newcastle fan, you'll watch all our games. But you're probably gonna watch Man City vs Arsenal and skip Palace vs Everton.

It just gives even more money to the big teams.

To quote Gabe Newell, Piracy is almost always a service problem and not a pricing problem.

Let people subscribe to a streaming service that lets them stream the games they want to see at a reasonable price and most of the piracy disappears.

Speaking personally, no i wont watch Liverpool v Man U or City v Arsenal. I dont want to pay to watch teams i dont want to watch. Casual viewers watching these matches are why  non "big six" are stuffed

Very interesting 12-15 months ahead if Ekitike happens. Very hard to see how the maths works on Elanga, Ekitike, Trafford and a Scalvini-esque RCB, without a substantial sale somewhere.

How much you reckon we get for sponsoring a stand? £5m a stand a year?

And could we buy the Stack for £1 then get Adidas and Sela to put £5m into that?

Fuck it, let's sponsor the pitch gradient whilst I'm on one

Barclays BANK ?

Yeh i'm hoping we have smart ideas to keep the team together but also.... a sale seems most likely.

I'm avoiding thinking about that until something moves. No point worrying about it. Excited by the prospect of Hugo and leaving it there.

It went under the radar a bit but last month the control of Newcastle United Football Club Projects Limited was transferred from the club to PZ Newco Holdings Ltd.

Newcastle United Football Club Projects Limited was the company the club used for STACK.

That seems to suggest that we might have sold STACK to ourselves.

Well does it suggest, or is it something we've done? If you can do the research then you you must have a vague idea?
