Lewis Miley: signs six-year contract extension (Official)

Understand the calls for him going on loan and getting game time for his development. Could it be that the club wants him here until he's at least 21 so that he qualifies as club-trained for CL registration purposes? We are already lacking on this front as it is.

A bit of short term memory here, but was there any reason to not loan him out last season? He ended up playing 306 minutes in all tournaments. I guess he was injured last summer, and then didn't want (or manage) to loan him out in january?

Plays well for England 21s straight away get him oot on loan. 😂

Let's Keep him for our long campaign with Willock been a walking injury joelinton starting to become injury prone and we aren't sure how Ramsey will fair yet.

leaves us with two centre mids what a great idea. 😂

He'll get plenty of minutes this season as Howe looks to rotate some players to tackle 4 competitions and I think it'll do him and us good. The boy has star quality and just needs minutes under his belt to get back to his 2023 form and better.

Same as this season. Barely any midfield cover.  Willock was out at the start of the season or coming back from injury and Sandro was banned for the first few months.

He barely got a kick.

True. Was thinking more from january, as Miley was injured last summer, but I guess you don't normally loan out players like him in january.

Very specific minutes [emoji38]

 it's the equivalent of 20 full matches which I would class as solid game time for a teenager at this level.

Through injury or selection, most people feel that Anderson didn't get enough game time to develop at Newcastle at any point. He never got close to 1800 minutes for us.

Last season alone he clocked 3k minutes. That's more experience than he got in 2-3 years at Newcastle post Brsistol.
