Petrified of running with the ball or making a progressive pass unless it's on the edge of the area. Very slow, no acceleration. He's very young and is big for his age, his sluggishness might be him just growing into his frame. There's plenty of time but I think he needs a loan to a team at a level where he's going to be one of the better players on the pitch to give him the confidence to play with more incisiveness. Andy Posted August 30, 2025 Share Posted August 30, 2025 He has a lot of developing to do, and to an extent I think he's actually regressed in some ways since that Champions League season. My biggest concern with him is that every pass is side to side or backwards, neat and tidy but he seems to have absolutely no desire to take a risk or impose himself on the game. That may come with age, but a lot of the time that mentality is something a player either has or doesn't have. So ideally needs to play week in week out to progress. Needs a loan to allow that, as long as we bring someoene else in. looking at how they’ve started, id consider Boro. Yes, it is ridiculous. I thought we looked better with Anderson than others during that injury ravaged period. But he was out himself. Miley really needs to play every week.
