Not all loans are created equally, no point unless he's with a manager who can commit to playing him and help develop, that's not a given. I don't trust our loan team to get him the right placement and I'd rather see him given minutes ahead of Longstaff or even Willock come season end.

Anderson seems to have excelled by starting on a regular basis at Forest, compared to when he was here training with Bruno and Tonali.

Anderson would’ve excelled here at us. Just he got an injury at a time when he was starting to click, even back end of season he was looking bright.

Easily forgotten how many minutes he was getting last season. Think if he didn’t get sold, he would’ve easily been ahead of Willock in the pecking order.

He is 100% not getting loaned out but Howe needs to start using him instead of bringing on players like Almiron when he has no future at the club. Pissed me off when he left him on the bench against Brentford in the cup and brought him on.

He's just returned from a long-term injury, no?

Willock offers us more than Anderson. In all honesty - whilst I liked the kid and he's a good footballer he was probably 4th or 5th choice at CM for us. I'm of the view Miley holds more promise for us.

I am not a huge fan of miley but think he will be a useful squad player for us. Kind of similar to sean tbh, especially as we are reaching for the top over the next 3-5 years.

I just haven't seen enough/any "star" moments from him that make me think he will be an undroppable player.

Hopefully, I am a footy fuckwit and he turns into the next Rodri! Here's hopin' !!

I am the same ,  he looks half decent

Haven’t seen enough to get excited yet

I am very hopeful though as he seems like he has an unbelievable attitude and a will to develop his game

Only proper footballers pick that assist. He's gonna be elite.

I’ve seen hundreds of academy players do similar and then drop out the game.

I really want him to do well.

Needs to be exceptionally good as he has real no turn of pace , he can cover the ground though and has a great football brain.

Depends on his defensive / danger reading ability, but I do feel if he’s naturally got that which can be tapped into, then the deep CM where everything goes through him is his long term position for club and country.

Very comfortable receiving ball with his back to play which is key in that role. But at his age, he’s got plenty of time to grow into that with his technical ability.

Say this 4-3-3 v2.0 is the new formation - where does Miley fit? I can’t but think his role in this set up is on the left of the 3 - to compete with J7 and Willock

Thats why I think it’s imperative our next midfielder signing be an alternative on the other side 6-8 hybrid  (With Miley maturing in a few years to play all 3 potentially)

I don’t think he’ll ever have the defensive awareness to do that. When I watch him it’s the glaring weakness in his game.

Looks like a 10 to me.
