Match Atmosphere

The build-up before the teams coming out was fucking incredible. Recency bias but I enjoyed this more than PSG. It was euphoric.

Maybe it depended where you were sitting but PSG for me was very special, goosebumps all night. 
 

That said, this was a close second. Absolutely fantastic. Before the game was electric and singing none stop throughout, me and my boy are exhausted haha. 
 

Not aimed at anyone in particular, but the bitching before the game was unnecessary. Generally when it matters , the crowd turns up. Would be amazing for it to be like this every game but that’s just not going to happen.

I think the hostility tonight and everyone getting stuck in to them was higher tonight. Either way it was bouncing and hopefully we can have more nights like that.

Yeah. Sounded really good over the TV. It rarely sounds good on the box. Even when the atmosphere is half decent in the ground. 
 

Neville was very complimentary. Was saying how Arsenal were struggling with it.

Was in Gallowgate Upper block S tonight. That was loud. Very loud. Arsenal had 5k there and never heard them once. We just seemed to totally drown them out.

Brilliant atmosphere but seemed to quieten a bit once we were 'comfortable', at least on TV. Seemed almost like the crowd had turned up for a hard fought battle and hadn't received one.

Id say there was around 10 minutes around the 75-85 mark where it died off but it was almost like everyone was waiting for that last few minutes to belt out ‘ tell me ma’ 

 

Special mention to whoever thought of the ‘it must be the ball’ chant, fucking fantastic

The corner was fucking brilliant. Rest of the ground seemed it as well to be fair.

Not being at PSG, I think it was one of the best atmospheres I've ever experienced at SJP.

 

The Spurs demolition was good, but more like shock and reaction to events than a concerted effort to rattle the opposition. 

 

We need to give ourselves credit where it's due, we can produce a brilliant atmosphere at times.

Sounded absolutely marvellous on the tele; great to see/hear. The bear pit we needed it to be and a huge credit to everyone who roared the lads on tonight.

 

It'll probably always catch fire for those particularly rare occasions. Bemoaning the unnecessarily subdued atmospheres is fair enough but we should still take pride in how SJP still turns it up to 11 with more gusto than most places.
