NEEJ
Was an incredible atmosphere for most of the first half, but good lord does the trauma of past failures rear its ugly head when the match is on a knife-edge. I think some people genuinely don't know how to handle the pressure, so immediately revert back to slagging off the players as if it's a comfort blanket or something. The flak Barnes was getting from the lads behind me in the Leazes west corner for having the bad fortune to be having one of those games in front of goal, fuuucking hell. pedro111
Sounded great first half but very quiet second half on the telly. Understandably with the sending off changing the dynamic of the game. It's mad to think how good the atmosphere can be currently and what it could be with a few positives changes from the club. Sima
A full safe standing Gallowgate end and it would be unbeatable for noise in the UK.

I don’t get it at all. Penultimate home game of the season, massive win against CL rivals, lovely sunny day. Enjoy it, I don’t understand how people can be thinking about beating the traffic or being first in the pub.

Can understand people leaving if it’s wrapped up if it’s midweek, approaching 10pm and at work the next day to an extent. But yesterday man, it wasn’t even 2pm and there was loads flooding out. No idea why or how, but that was absolutely mental. Yeah, it was ridiculous. The noise on the early goal was similar to when Wilson scored the first goal post takeover. Lulled second half but there was still plenty of singing. Strawberry corner do a sterling job, can always hear them from my perch on the level seven balcony. Never used to hear “This club is my club” sang at SJP but hear it most games now.

RR15
As already mentioned, the volume in the stadium the first 10-15 mins was deafening - I was stood at the top of the Gallowgate & it was like an old school away game at times.
