We can shove him into the academy, falsify his documents so that he's now 17, and then pick him up to the first team after a couple of months. Any name suggestions? If he's been betting on football in general ala Toney and has fallen foul of what seems to be some fairly strict Italian laws, then hope the club gives him all the support he needs/it can. Be a massive shame if it ends like this having only seen glimpses of what he's capable of - not to mention the fact that he's so young, be gutting if he's chucking his career away on something like this. Joelinton's drink driving issue was potentially very minor compared to this. All the more frustrating that it's centring around someone who's only been here five minutes. The offence is completely unrelated to NUFC but we're absorbing the impact. Very annoying. Given this, his fairly dismal start on the pitch, and his apparent absence of anything remotely endearing, I'm starting to wish we'd spent that money differently. If it transpires that he has nothing serious to answer for then great; I'll gladly re-take the sympathetic position around footballers and gambling.
