Honestly when I translate most of the Milan fans comments on Tonalis insta most of them are rather sad/emotional rather than angry, and many of them still seem to support him. That's a lot of contrast from certain british clubs, where if their star player left to a richer club they would be fuming and hating on him forever. I'm a bit surprised because I expected him to get a lot of stick from Milan fans for a good while.

I think it has a lot to do with how the player left. It's clear Tonali wasn't asking for the move this summer but his club preferred to have the coin instead of his services, no point in being angry at the boyhood fan for leaving in those circumstances.

I never wished anything good for players that used us as a stepping stone like Sissoko and Gini (Ashley-era and all that but still) but always cheered on players I liked that were forced out or naturally moved on to bigger things like Ayoze, HBA or now ASM. Same for Carroll after he left Liverpool because fuck Liverpool.

Good point. Although what's the big difference between the Ayoze move and say the Sissoko move? I feel like they both just wanted to play for a better team in the end. And honestly I can totally see why Wijnaldum wanted to swap out Championship for the Champions League.

It's my personal opinion but never really warmed to Sissoko or Gini and we got relegated before their big moves (only season in Gini's case). Obviously the moves made sense for them but I wasn't feeling happy or proud when I was watching them in the CL final. Ayoze endured a lot of crap during his long tenure here and never let us down, thought he deserved to get out to a real club at that point.

Both sissoko and wijnaldum seemed to down tools very quickly. It felt particularly with gini he very rarely showed his quality and still got his dream move to champions League while we went down. I have more time for sissoko since he did a more reasonable stint and put in some good performances but that season we went down the squad was perfectly capable of being midtable if half of them had given a damn

Never really got on board with the dislike of either Gini or Sissoko, they were our best players at the time, and they both got moves to CL clubs which kind of backed that up. It wasn't good players that were the problem, it was that we were happy to fill the team with bad ones. We  were just a shit club going nowhere at the time.

Am I the only Geordie who thinks that Greggs is absolute shite - heartburn in a roll.

Milligans was always the superior Newcastle bakery.  The UK doesn’t know what it missed.

Greggs has always been shite, but it was cheap shite, it's expensive now for the low quality it is. The oven door was similar.

I prefer Shys,then Dickson's.

I have no idea why Greggs has done so well.

I wonder if someone told him the Job Bullman was a classy place in Gosforth for a wind up and he fell for it, it's about the only place on the high street I can afford to drink in.

High street used to be rough at times, Gosforth is not as posh as I thinks it is.

Hopefully the entire country wakes up out of the Greggs obsession hypnosis. Then Wrights Pies can take over and deliver meat and potato goodness for the masses.

Wright’s pies as in the pies from Stoke on Trent??

With a bit more time I am more open to this view, but I thought Wijnaldum did the bare minimum for us. In reality it was disfunction from top to bottom but I was really excited when he signed and that Norwich game aside never seemed like all that much.

for me it was because they were clearly trying harder in terms of their performances when the game was on TV

It was probably more that Gini downed tools pretty early in the season.
