When Bruno would play at the 6 I would often shout pass it or quicker and he would often hold on to the ball, which tbf is a strength of his as he doesn't often lose it but I absolutely adore how Tonali uses the one touch pass to great effect

 

It allows us to get into great positions much quicker and it's also less risky too

 

I also think the way Howe, the club and the fans supported him during the year out means we get a bit extra from him. Before his ban there were times where he would either tackle half heartedly or not quite get back into position whereas now he's like a man possessed and we are so much better for it

Absolutely this. There was a lot in the press about Eddie watching Sandro and 'falling in love', and it's easy now to see why. There was also a lot made of the idea that we needed a DM to progress, all the while Eddie maintained that he would prefer a fluid midfield. He's done it.

He has, but Tonali's recovery pace as the deeper midfielder has made such a differences to our defending. And our results.

Mental at that stage in the game, running full tilt. He has the ability to just dink it over the defender and hurdle the challenge almost in one motion. He was rapid that Agbadou and all. Looked a good, physical defender. Just glided past him.

Seriously, though. So much of that is just simply him recycling the ball. But it’s hypnotic. He is the best in our team for coming back from the wrong side of the ball. But still nicking it without fouling the player. 
 

I know it’s a highlight reel. So you can always make players look good or bad in isolation. But I found it strange that were some really positive bits from the Chelsea away game. I remember him being anonymous and having a bad game. 
 

Similar for Everton. Thought he was meh like everyone was on the day. But half that video seemed to be from Goodison

He's definitely one of those players that makes everything that they do look simple and obvious. I'm noticing it now because I can't ever remember a time when we've had it to this level but I never want to take it for granted.
